I totally understand what you are saying..... I am in tha same boat..hehehe as you. I have only been lurking around for the past month or so due to the fact that there are getting to be more and more unhappy and nasty people on this site. When i joined things were sooooo much different, people were kind and helpfull... NOW all people want to do is upset you and tell you that you are wrong and say things that are truely hurtfull and nasty.

I got my postings up to 1000 and I was soooo excited and now I just dont even care if I ever post again. IT is SOOO sad that this is happening to alot of us good members... but I guess all good things must come to and end.

Hope you stay, even if you just lurk in the wings... ill be there in the wings and we can chat.

I know what you mean. I am still fairly new to yorkie talk, I love it to death and have found a lot of genuinely nice people and some great advice. Although sometimes I notice the drama, and felt slightly intimidated in the beginning. I received hateful pm's when I first joined because I got my puppy at a very young age. The puppy was indeed a gift from my husband, as he knew how much I missed the yorkie I grew up with. Now if it would not have been a suprise from my husband (who didn't know any better), I would've NEVER gotton a puppy at such a young age. But once she was in my arms it was too late. I immediatley took her to the vet and she checked up to be perfectly healthy. Like I said, if I had purchased the pup myself I would have insisted on only getting her when she was older. Some people believed I should not own a yorkie, and I took this very offensively. Being a kindergarten teacher, I am clearly responsible enough to take care of a puppy...although I am still learning everything I possibly can

Anyways, point be...don't let it get to you. I give Bella more love and affection than I do my husband....and she is the best friend I will ever have. I have learned to keep most of my comments to myself so I won't offend anyone....and I will leave the advice to the pros. Hang in there...I know you give great advice

I agree with Marcella, I joined and became a donating member because I LURKED for a long time. I joined because I THOUGHT I was joining a caring group of people who felt the same way I did about their babies. I became a donating member because I felt I owed the creators of this site I had learned so much about taking care of Seth and Sasha from all members here. I just read on another site of some one attacking Stedmansmommy and I am just about at the point of just not coming here anymore. I am at the point of not posting much, my gosh if you say the wrong thing or it is taken wrong the words start flying and I know that is not why I joined.
I am not going to be in the gift exchange and I wanted so badly to be in it but again afraid that I would not buy the correct gifts, spend enough money, etc.
marcella was very sweet when I PM'd here about a concern.
stedmansmommy has given me alot of advice (even though she does not know that) Thank-You to all of you who have helped me in your postings with my Seth and Sasha but I am just about to the point to stop visiting.

I know what you mean, Marci...it seems like there have been lots of harsh words and attacks that came out of nowhere-not just on your posts, but in lots of threads on YT. But, like a lot of others said, try not to let it get you down. There are always a few that try and spoil it for others, but you have to let this roll off your back. Think of all the good you've done on here, all the cute pictures you've posted, all the compliments you've given that make people feel good, all the "welcome to YT"'s that you've posted, and all the great advice you've given to others. All this has just GOT to outshine the little bit of gloom brought on by a few malingerers.

Just think, Emma and Milli would still be eating boring old kibble for all their meals if it hadn't been for you

You always have great advice and nice things to say, and when you're making a point or stating an opinion, you are always to the point, but tactful and polite in making your view known. And that's what YT is all about-discussing things, and letting all opinions be know. You do a great job, and this site depends on people like you, so don't leave, ok?!?!

Marci -- I don't know you personally, but I've read so many of your posts and they are always extremely helpful and caring in what you write!

Some things on YT are bothering me as well, but I try to remember all the wonderful and truly good people I've met on here and that keeps me coming back

My favorite idiot post is the one from the person who shall remain nameless because they seem to keep creating different names, is the one complaining about how he didn't have time for his yorkie....so what does he do...he gets another one to keep the first one company. Now, how stupid is that??? I mean, I'm all for getting a second yorkie as a playmate for the first one, but if he didn't have time for one, how did he think he would have time for TWO??
