I read the part about you not having insurance. I have worked in the medical field for about 20 years now and I have seen what having no insurance can do. Try to find at least a hospital only policy that will pay for treatments received at the hospital including seeing the doctor, but not office visits. I worked for cancer doctors and the patients could not even get admitted until they paid a huge deposit. It's always the unplanned that gets you, like accidents and cancers. Think about it and try to find something.

I'm glad you and your baby are okay, that's the most important thing. You mentioned that you have an attorney. The best thing you can do is calm down and let your attorney handle it. If you have a good lawyer, you shouldn't have to be the one trying to get the accident report or dealing with the manager. Give your attorney the details, and he can handle all that for you. That's what he gets paid for. It's not good for you or the baby to get stressed out. Good luck, and I hope your pregnancy goes well and you have a healthy baby.

Another thought: Do any of the local news crews have a consumer watch-dog segment? They can usually get something like this cleared up pretty quick----a law suit is private and can take quite some time--they are hoping it turns out that you don't want to spend the time or energy on it or that after the lawyer gets his fee, it's not worth it to you. They will NOT want all the negativity that will come from a broadcast that shows them un-willing to take responsibility for what happened to you. Because if the outcome is good or bad the news segment will air it when they take up your cause. I'd also write "letters to the editors" sections of local papers (CC'd to local and coporate offices of the store) to start getting things heated up in their direction as well. Good luck and I'm so glad yopu are okay. Last edited by AngelWorks; 07-08-2007 at 04:09 AM.
