| I am so upset !!...LONG im venting first off so sorry I found out i was pregnant the very end of May, On june 3rd i went to food lion to get some dinner, it was me, my husband and my son. i was walking down the main isle looking for my husband and i slipped and fell. i fell on broken glass and sticky margarita mix! There were no signs no employees, supposedly someone has just done the spill, as i naviagate around broken glass 4 employees with brooms and mops (4 now, i think 1 could have stayed behind and directed traffic then i would not have fallen). i walk over to the managers office to file the accident report the manager doest know how to access the report, and tells me if i want to to go to patient first in the morning, both me and my husband refused and stated we are going to the ER now, im pregnant and early in the pregnancy. she said that she would take care of the accident report, they didnt offer any help with the groceries so we left a buggy full for them to put back and went straight to the ER. i was treated, given Rx and sent hope to rest. i called back for a copy of the accident report and to speak to the supervisor who was extremely rude and stated they dont issue copies of the report to anyone, that blew me away. i then had a recorded interview with Food lions corporate office, and i hadnt heard back, well last week i started calling and leaving messages with no reponse from them. today i receive a letter that after an investigate they find they were not neglient! How is that possible! they had a spill on the floor no signs and i fell and went to the hospital! all i asked for them to cover is the doctor bills because i have no insurance converage at this time. Im so angry i dont know what to do. i waiting on my attorney to call me now. i will never shop in there again. and i usually do alot of shopping there! |

| wow, that is just terrible! i hope everything is okay with you and the baby. It's just amazing how people can be so rude . I would say definitely talk to your attorney. You have every right to recieve at least some money back from the bills. It was their spill, their fault. Goodluck with all of this. I hope some good news comes out of it!

| Wow, I'm so sorry that this happened to you. That is horrible. First of all you should try to calm down. Being stressed out isn't also good for the baby or yo. No matter what happens you're a great mommy and you did the RIGHT thing by going to the ER. There is no judge in the world that wouldn't side with you, especially after these employees knew about the spill. Stores have mandatory insurance for these kinds of things. If you can, try to get your husband to deal with this stress along with the attorney. I'm glad that you and the baby are ok. |

| I'm sorry this happened to you. Was everything okay when you went to the hospital? I hope you're fine. I would keep calling the store and asking to speak to the manager and also keep calling corporate. Sometimes writing a letter works better than calling. Find out the name of the president of the company and write a letter addressing all of your concerns in a calm, rational manner and I would be suprised if you don't get a call or a letter in return. They have to take care of this, and they know it, if they want to avoid a lawsuit. My Mom got a large gash on her hand from a handle of a shopping cart at Walmart and they wouldn't do anything for her. They pulled the same thing on her, after investigating they found they weren't at fault. They had a cart w/ an extremely sharp piece on the handle...how is that not their fault? What if it had been a child who got hurt? They sit in the front of those carts, it could have cut a child's leg open. Walmart is so large that they think they are above admitting fault. My mom didn't push it, she just fumed and let it go. I wouldn't let this go until you receive a suitable response. Good luck and Congrats on your pregnancy.

| i was okay and the baby's okay, thank you the store manager wont even talk to you went you speak to him, he siad he isnt reponsible and the corporate deals with this, the first time we called to speak to that manager who runs the store (he wasnt there the night it happened, but he received a call at home from the manager there) he basically hung up on us when we called. The risk management center is "handling" the case. they wont return a phone call. i think i will talk to the attorney before i write any letters but i will deffinately be thinking on how im wording that letter. |

| They are at fault whether they want to admit it or not. You should sue for damages

| First off, iam glad you & your baby are ok, and they are responsible for your fall, i work at walmart ( not at the moment) but i still am an employee there, and there is a cutomer fund set up just for that, its called cutomers accident report fund, so thats bs if there telling you diffenrent, if there was spill it should have been gaurded by 2 employees, so that people dont get hurt, my daughter was hurt at kmart , there was a big pole sticking out of the wall by the shoe dept, she ran rigt in to it and cut her face, they paid for evrything, including a 100.00 store gift card along with a letter of aplolgy, please continiue to fight this, they need to pay

| Thank you i even told the person that interviewed me and it was recordered that they should have done the same thing you stated about walmart, someone should have been standing there, i worked at a grocery store here and thats what they do. im furious with them, i wish my attorney would hurry up and call they said it would be today buts it already 4. Food lion has really no customer service skills, and they seem to get worse as they go. |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I am glad you are both ok. My Mom who was 85 at the time fell at the Jewel Food store on a grape that was on the floor and fell back and hit her head and damaged her thumbs permanantly. She had MRI and an ER visit. She fought with Jewel for a year and they kept telling her she needed to find who dropped the grape. Come on now!!! She did get an attorney and after 2 years got after attorney fees 900.00. But keep on them and get an attorney.

| I am so sorry you fell but am glad that you and baby are alright. My granddaughter slipped and fell on some spilled water at Target yesterday. Fortunately we filed an incident report and then took Kallee to the ER where she has a fractured wrist. She is ok but we sure would like Target to pay for the dr. bills. Fortunatly my daughter has insurance and we debated what to do but in the end decided to put it on her insurance and pay the $50 deductable just in case we run into what you are going thru. We will let the insurance co. fight with Target if that is what it turns into....but we do want the $50 back. Patty |
