| Law enforcement sources tell TMZ Paris Hilton's medical condition was purely psychological and that she was in peril of having a nervous breakdown, and that's why she was released early this morning. Psychiatrist Charles Sophy visited Hilton in jail yesterday and the day before. We're told after Sophy's visit yesterday, word was passed to the Sheriff that Hilton's mental state was fragile and she was at risk. The reason for releasing her had nothing to do with a rash or other physical issues. It was purely in her head.

| Money talks and always will. Do you think her father would really allow her to be in jail? Someone paid off someone. Wanna bet that ankle bracelet is custom with diamonds all around. If that were yours or my kid she would be serving the full 45 days, licence suspended and have to go to AAA! |

| I heard about Paris also. I just have to say that money can buy your almost anything and I think it bought her, her way out of jail. Give me a break, house arrest in a huge home like hers. I heard on the radio this morning, that while she was still in jail, she had to ask one of the guards how to make a collect call. Like someone else said, I don't think they let you out of jail for a "medical" condition, mental or physical, unless it's very, very serious and then the "normal" inmate would probably be put in a hospital instead of "house arrest". Ugh......

| I salute this statement posted earlier.... """""Her medical" condition did not stop her from attending events, parties and going shopping in the weeks leading up to her jail time.""" I guess we will see how long her medical condition keeps her on that tether! Maybe she will need therapy which will entail going to the mall, a local coffee house, maybe a club or two..... __________________

I am not a fan of Paris... the only thing that would cause me to be okay with the house arrest thing is that they say the normal sentence is for the amount she stayed in jail. I dont feel she should be punished more or less because of who she is. Her poops stinks just like everyone elses.

| I've never by any means been a fan of Paris but according to reports, the time MOST people, meaning regular people like us, spend in jail for her crime is 3-5 days. She didn't got o jail for her DUI, it was for driving with a suspended license. So I think she is being made an example of because she technically should have only gotten less than a week, which she did serve in jail and she has to spend another 40 at home confined. So while I don't like her and celebrities do get preferential treatment I think she served the time she would have served anyway and she's still under custody so I'm not sure why everyone is so bothered by it. There are rapists and murderers living on most everyone streets and we're worried about Paris Hilton as a threat?

| Oh that poor thing. She was under a little stress was she? Probably having bad panic attacks since she hasnt been able to go buy thousands of dollars worth of clothes in the last few days. I am sure that jail food was not at all acceptable to her highness either. Probably made her sick just to think about eating food the rest of the common folk in there had to eat. I'm sure it made her nauseous to think about all of the parties and drinking and men out there she was missing out on with being locked away like a common criminal for 3 whole days for breaking that silly law once again and getting caught. I can guarantee she learned nothing and we will be reading about her again soon. Next time she might not be so lucky when she gets drunk and decides to hop in her fancy car and drive. |

| She wasn't eating the jail house food, and her nerves probably played a part to her getting a rash. It isn't her fault that she is a weak frail person when it comes to living like that. She's been raised quite differently than most of the world and she just can't cope! I'm sure if she ever breaks the law again, it will be quite different, and I'm sure she knows that. She's going to have to face the public in less than a month and I'm sure everywhere she goes there will be some very rude remarks for her. That alone is uncalled for added punishment. I say "give her a break". |

| Just to also add, I'd rather there be a million Paris Hilton's in this world than more Lindsay Lohans, Britney Spears and other druggies and alcoholic starlets who have really done nothing in their lives. Lip synching isn't a talent. It's not her fault she's been raised in priveledge. It's easy for us to sit back and say how sad and pathetic it is that she couldnt handle it but even us common folk would probably break down in jail. I will be the first to admit that if my family and I had the kind of money she has, I would also love shopping, starting my own perfume lines, have a good time and not have a care in the world. It would just be how my life would be, and I'm certain no one would argue that they wouldn't live a different life than her (minus the sex tape, I wouldn't do that..lol) if the money was available.

| I just think the girl should be given a break. At least she's not as self destructive as her BFF Nicole. I think ALL of us would break down mentally and physically if we were put in jail no matter our lifestyle
