| I believe ice takes care of swelling. I always use heat to relax the muscles and ibuprofen. Also gently stretching your neck helps too.

| When that happens to my neck or back, I take a presciption dose of ibuprofen (800 mg = 4 tablets) and then lay down and try to go to sleep. That way you are in a relaxed position and it allows the ibuprofen to work better. You can take 800 mg every 8 hours and I do that till the kink is gone. If not gone in 3 days, then medical intervention may be in order (or massage or chiropractic or something like that).

| Amber you're having a heck of a time sweetie. Take a nice hot bath and slide down real low and relax, take some ibuprofen then go to bed. I sure hope you get out of this rut you're in!!!

| Ibuprophen...massage the area that feels kinked...start at the 'center' of the pain...use fingers and go in circles. Work outward. I have fibromyalgia...I feel your pain |
