| Hello~ Yes, that is a Westie...does not looked mixed. I owned a Westie and actually raised one litter of her puppies. Your little guy is a Westie (maybe not the best bred, but he is a cutie-pie.). At that age, Westies tend to go through a very akward stage...atleast ours did and so did her puppies. Once he starts to fill out and his fur comes in more, he will start to take on more of the Westie look. However, if he was not well-bred, he might not ever have a great coat on him....won't change how incredibly he is, thogh. | I had my hubby look at your pictures, he says definitely all Westie! Also, I just looked at your second picture (I had only looked at your first)...he looks like his fur is going to come in and have a normal looking Westie coat, not wirey like his first picture appears. He is very cute! I will try to find pictures of our Westie at that age...she also had those ears and was more wirey. Start young with his grooming so that his Westie coat will come in nicely. | Westies are Wonderful! I hope you do decide to keep him. My westie was one of the best dogs ever! If any of you collect westie stuff I am downsizing my westie collectibles. If you are interested just send me a PM and I will send you a link to pictures of what I am selling.

|  Yep - It's a Westie! They are typically about a 15lb dog normally so he's on track. Wire hair is desirable as stated before. Westhighland Terrier's and Cairn Terrier's started out as the same blood lines. Then they developed the all white blood line and renamed them. Cairn's have wirey hair as well. Great dogs!!! He looks like a good one! I'm attaching a picture of a Westie that was in Calliope's Puppy Pre-School class so you can see what she looks like. Her name is Lily! She's about the same age as your rescue and looks about the same size as well. Hope you can find him a great home - they are super with kids!

| Thanks everyone...I just love that those of you with Westies have posted pictures..I am going to get some better ones today..I just got home from work and its sunny out so I should get some nicer shots of him...I am trying to convince hubby to let him stay aboard...we will see how that goes hehehehe.....
