| Need Honeymoon suggestions... Ok so my fiance and I are very excited about our honeymoon (even though it's a year away ). We can't decide so I thought I would put it out here and see what you guys think. Any good suggestions and pictures would be great!!! We like: Tahiti St. Lucia (Or somewhere else in the Caribbean) Fiji Any recommendations out of these or others not on the list? We don't want to do europe or countries where there's a lot of cultural stuff to do, because we want to leave that for our family vacations later. C'mon suggestions please!!!

| Curacao! I returned from there about 6 weeks ago and it was amazing. It wasn't very touristy (most of the tourists we encoutered were from the Netherlands) and there wasn't a lot to do at night (I'm not sure how into that you are). ALL the stores closed at 5 or so, so that was kind of annoying, but after the first night we learned to work around it and it was amazing. Some bars and restaurants were open, but not a ton. The food was amazing and the beaches were awesome. We stayed at the Hilton (which overall was nice, although we did have to switch rooms THREE times) and the beaches were amazing. You could just go out a few feet in the water and snorkel. Also, there were lots of activies to do.. we did horseback riding, scuba diving at the aquarium (AMAZING.. we swam and got to feed string rays, fish, sharks, and sea turtles), and a few other things. I would definitely recommend it! I would love to go back myself.

| We've been to the Sandals resort on St. Lucia. Very nice, small, clean and safe island!!! You can't beat a Sandals resort to ensure that it is all adults who are already partners, the best in luxury (no tipping allowed) all your activities, food and drink is included. I think there are only two hours (from 4-6am) where you can't get something to eat or drink at one of the many rstaurants, bars and grills found on the 100+ acres of the resort. My pictures are not digital cause they weren't around when we went there 12 years ago - but I would highly recommend it!!! There are now two Sandals on the island....

| Here are a few... One is from us scuba diving at the Curacao Aquarium and another is the view from the Hilton. I'm sorry that I don't have more.. I transferred the majority of them to CDs. I'd also like to suggest www.tripadvisor.com. It's amazing for reviews and pictures. You can find tons of candid pictures for any place, hotel, attraction, etc. It's a great source.

| Found a few more that I thought I would add.. The downtown area was very cool.. all the buildings were these bright and vibrant colors. The first picture is from horseback riding in the mountains.

| I got married last June, and beleive me my honeymoon was absoulte paradise. We went to tthe Maldives, its 100s of groups of small islands in the indian ocean. The blue lagoon wouldnt be in it. Please have a look at the Maldives, as they are saying that it wont be there in 20 years due to global warming.

| St. Barts... I've never been there but I know people who have and they said that out of all of the islands in the caribbean, this one is the best. I was looking into going a while back... It's very secluded and romantic. There are private villas and the island is small--only 8 sq miles...It's also quite pricey http://www.stbarth.com/

| St. Lucia!!! I was married in St. Lucia back in 2002. It's an amazingly lush island with beautiful people. I was married at Sandals Regency in La Toc. There are now 3 Sandals resorts on the island (Sandals Halcyon, Sandals Regency and Sandals Grande). I would suggest St. Lucia (partially because I was married there but also because of the beauty), but if I were to do it again, I would go to a small intimate resort or cottage type setting for romance. In fact, my DH and I are looking to go back in 2008 and we've decided to stay at a very small cottage down by the Piton volcanoes. Good luck! Heather |

| I say Fiji or Tahiti. They are right next to each other, right???? Will and I went to Nassau, Bahamas. If we had had more time, we would have gone to Hawaii. Have you considered that?? |

Going into "town" was like stepping into Holland ... and by the time I had returned on my honeymoon (I stayed at the Hilton again) the bridge was built but taking the floating bridge was so fun ... you can also 'hop' over to Bonaire for a day. You might wanna 'hop' and stay a few days in Aruba ... a lot of people are boycotting Aruba lately due to the disappearance of Natalee Holloway a few years ago. but itz a pretty island ... Oh, and there is gambling on Aruba and Curacao..

I loved the floating bridge! Although I was so frustrated when it would be open for what seemed like forever, letting a cruise ship in/out. Love hearing that someone else has been there! Sorry.. didn't mean to hijack the thread, OP.
