another suggestion would be malaysia - the pinatini islands i think? a friend just went there and said the beaches were amazing! and another suggestion is an island off of africa called seychelles - beautiful pristine beaches, romantic and you know a lot of the beaches you see in calenders are taken from there.

| We went to Tahiti for our honeymoon and it was the best. It depends on what you want/like. DO you want pure quietness and nothing to do? If so, Tahiti is great and I think Fiji would be too. We did a lot of tours, swiming, snorkeling, laying out, canoes. My favorite was waking up every morning, walking outside our overwater bungalow and watching the fish swim around or snorkeling right off our bungalow. There definitely was a lot of alone/us time. It's EXTREMLY expensive for anything on this island though. We stayed in the islands of Moorea whichi is so beautiful. Image: Sunrise from our overwater bungalow |

| My fiance and I are getting married in september. We looked in to Sandals at st lucia but he really wanted to go to someplace that had gambling. So.. we decided on a cruise, Royal Carribean. I have heard nothing but good things about them and neither of us have been on a cruise before. Ships are huge and GORGEOUS. Good luck and keep us updated on what you choose.

| Not to hi-jack the thread or anything, but how much(ish) do the Sandals resorts cost for all-inclusive? Thanks

That's the one I'm interested in, too, lol. I was just looking at the pictures! SOOOO beautiful. I was just looking at the pictures of the room where you can swim right up to your balcony. That's SO cool! We're hoping to get married on Nov 1, 2008 (our 5 year dating anniversary just happens to fall on a Saturday ), but not sure we'll have the money quite that soon

| Jim and I rent an AMAZING villa right on the beach in DR. It was soooo umbelieveably amazing but I got SEVERELY sick and had to come home after 3 days. We were supposed to stay 2 weeks. I was soooo violently sick and I stayed sick for about 3 months. It was awful! I was so depressed because here we were, newlyweds and supposed to be having the time of our lives swimming and sight seeting and shopping and poor Jim was stuck holding back my hair while I puked my guts up. But he was so sweet about it and never once complained. But if I had a choice, I'd go to Tahiti. Jim and I are planning a trip there for next year!

| We didn't get sick from the resort. We went to a club and I had a frozen margarita and got sick immediately after! We think it may have been the ice in my drink. I literally was sick to my stomach for MONTHS! Constant diarrhea (sorry to be graphic lolol) and throwing up. It was awful. I wanted to try and stick it out but by the third day I started to throw up blood and Jim booked us a flight home that very same day.

| Water in the resort was ok. They brought fresh bottles of water daily to our villa. But once we went out and had THAT water/ice, we got in trouble ... well, not "we" but me lololol
