As for talking to them personally, I really cant, Im too scared to go over there. Thats why I debate so hard what to do is becuase I know they are going to be beyond pissed if I call the police on them but at the same time I dont feel comfortable going over there where they are a bunch of guys 2-3 times my size and telling them to turn down their stereos. They could kick my ass if they dont like what I say. And what sucks is they really only do thier loud music crap early afternoon so everyone else in the neighborhood is at work and they arent around for it, only lucky me. So no one else will be calling the police or askign them to quit anytime soon.

I Love My Lil' Punkin's Donating Member | Girl I wouldn't HESITATE to call the police if they keep that crap up. But being that they are "thugs", I don't know if I'd march over there and yell at them (although I can totally understand why you'd want to!). I really would call the cops if they don't stop though, because that can get WAY annoying, I know. We have also lived in our house for 4 years and I also have neighbors just like yours They aren't "thugs" (actually they are a really nice couple in their 30's) but I swear, on the weekends, they act like they are teenagers. I don't think there is anything wrong with having a get together, or people over for drinks or whatever...but they will sit outside (and no, NOT in their backyard...but in the FRONT! ) until FOUR in the morning and BLAST the music so loud that it literally shakes my walls - just like yours. They get so drunk and talk SO damn loud that I can literally hear their conversations and their laughter from INSIDE my house. Also, the husband has a drum set in his garage - and yeah...you can pretty much guess how I feel about those freaking drums It wouldn't be so bad if they didn't do it so damn late at night, or if their driveway (where they do all their "partying") wasn't RIGHT BY the 3 big windows in the front of my house - but it IS! And I am a night owl (most of the time) so if I am in the living room trying to watch t.v. I can't even hear the freaking thing. I swore the last time that if it happened again I was going to call the cops (for a while it was going on literally, EVERY single weekend) but they haven't done it in quite a while, so luckily, I haven't had to call the police. If it happens again though, I will. My husband just gets soooo PISSED. lol. Also, the law in Texas states that you can't have your music loud past 10 p.m. (I'm pretty sure it's 10:00) so if your neighbors keep that up until all hours, I would DEFINITELY call the cops - they will come out there and make them turn it down. And rightfully so - because as you and I both know, it is SO frustrating when you can't even relax in your own home!

| Years ago I had neighbors like that....every week it was "PARTY TIME!!yyaaaa hoooo!!".... you do have to tread lightly w/ people like that...you never want to P/O your neighbor....you don't know what they will do to retaliate...ours would slit your tires...most of the time I learned to ignore it, but after 11p.m. " Mrs. Nice Guy" disapeared & I called the police..I would do it as "Mrs. Anonymous" in case they had a scanner (cause I had one too).....then when I was outside I would always smile & wave..to throw them off...they never suspected me

| Hey Shana - just wondering do you know if they own the house or rent? I had this SAME problem and out of my experience I would not call the cops. That is what my neighbors did and since than their house was egged, toilet papered, Mail was stolen and than their car was broken into. It is not right what they did but really there was nothing the cops could do since there was no proof they did it. What I did was call the landlord and told him anonymously of course and finally after enough calls and enough neighbors helping me do the same thing - the land lord kicked them out. AWHHH...freedom at last! I hope you find some resolution because I do know what you are going through - except my neighbors were also dealing drugs which made it even more annoying to me.

| ha.. this situation reminds me of my "new " neighbors..... I live in this very quiet recently built subdivision.. anyhow our new neighbors to the right of us ... have 3 teenage kids.... anyhow they love to be outside listening to music super loud... during the week at like midnight and during the afternoons too... I called the police 2 'x's on them and it's almost like they knew I had called because before the police could get there they turned it off... hmpf... made me look like a dork... but at least they piped down.... to top it all off they came over a week ago to drop off some food as a thank you for being my neighbor thing... shoot if they only knew.... |

| Dear Shana: Thugs or not, men like pretty women. Do you have a friend who can go with you and either do the talking or at least give you confidence? You can approach them and be so sweet about your problem. If they get nasty, you can either just walk away and then call the police or tell them that they had better calm down because you're going to call 911 if they don't stop. I just think you catch more bees with honey than with vinegar. I always took the approach I suggested with my "bad boys" when I was teaching high school. It worked almost all of the time. Good luck and I'm sorry you're having trouble. People can just drive you crazy when they're inconsiderate. Judy We've been egged |

| I totally understand your frustration. I live in an apt and last year the neighbors had BAND PRACTICE (yep, drums, amps, guitars, screeching into microphones, the works) in the room thats right next to my bedroom. And they would do this in the middle of the night!!!! I asked them politely to stop, then started banging on the wall, then finally called the cops on them. Long battle that didn't end until they moved out. Some people are just rude and selfish. On the other hand, you mentioned they only do it in the middle of the day when the rest of your neighbors are at work. So maybe they don't realize they're bothering anybody. If they are quiet at night, that seems to indicate they have some respect for the neighborhood. So I suggest what others have said- either call or leave a note and explain it exactly how you did to us. I really wouldn't be afraid to talk to them, esp if you bring your boxer but I'm not that shy. But a note would be fine too. If after that they still are loud, then they are a$$***** and deserve to have the police called on them. And I say do it. But I know I would want a neighbor to at least ask me anonymously to stop doing something before having the 5 O show up at my door. Good luck girl keep us posted.
