| Shana, my neighbor's house that is attached to mine, played his music and tv really loud and we could really hear that. Whenever I could, I turned my tv up loud and played my music loud and I think he got the message, cause it hasn't happend in a long time. I don't know if your doggies would like you doing that or not. If you have a personal CD player, maybe you could use that with headphones and that would help drown out their music. Whatever you do, I really hope it helps, that can be so..... annoying. Good Luck.

| Maybe when they are playing their music really loud you could take your dogs out front and let them freak out in front of the loud neighbors. Atleast maybe they will notice the loud music bothers your pets. Or right after they shut off their music you can turn on some loud classical music . |

| We have a loud noise ordinance down here. So even if your going down the street & your music is so loud it vibrates, you can get a ticket. I would call the police, not 911. & ask what they think. Tell them your situation, maybe they'll have a way to solve your problem.

| Why not send an email to the FWPD and ask how to handle?

Banning Thread Dictator Donating Member | I HATE neighbor problems. If you talk to them, there's always the chance of an ugly confrontation. If you go to the cops, they're going to resent you. In the short-term, you ought to record it. Either a video or a tape-recorder. Record how loud it is in your house and out on the street. That way, if you do have to go to the cops, you'll have some evidence. Would hubby be comfortable talking to them? Or you could try giving them a brochure for an ipod shuffle and tell them to use it!

| I would just muster up the courage and ask them to cut it down nicely. Music that loud can damage their hearing so they probably don't know how loud it is. Seriously though, I would be more upset if someone got the police involved than if they just came over and asked. If you ask and they still keep at it, THEN call the police. Of course, then they would know it was you and that wouldn't be good either. Ugh...no good way out of that I'm afraid. And speaking for myself as someone who has that 'stupid loud radio stuff in her car' let me just say that it is extremely RUDE of your neighbors! They know good and well that is disturbing. I would never DREAM of playing my stereo that loud near houses. When I turn off the main road, the radio goes off. |

| Shana, I am adding my sympathies to those you have already received. Call me an old grouch, but when people have the base in their music turned up loud enough for me to "feel" the vibrations, it makes me very aggressive. I want to scream! If everyone reacts to the vibrations like I do its no wonder tht there is so much violence in the world today. If I ever have road rage it would be because some jerk stopped behind me -- even 16 cars back with window shaking base blaring. Mike had a GREAT idea. Use a video camera and record the sound and the vibrations. Neighbor problems are the worse kind 'cause no matter what you have to live with them.....Maybe you could overcome your shyness and mosey on over and talk to them very nicely about the music--assume that there is some good in all people until proven other-wise. If that doesn't work, then call the police. I really truly believe that that type of music is harmful to our health..... My oldest son's bedroom is underneath my sewing room -- he is a dear sweet boy, but I have to remind him at least once a week that his music is vibrating my floor. I bring him upstairs to "feel" it and he will tune it down...... |

I hear you! I have tried many relaxation things, cd's, books, techniques - none work for me. Well, shopping helps a little. I have to take anti-anxiety meds or I would be up the walls. I would call the police for sure. They have no right to disturb a whole neighborhood like that! I would be scared to go over there, too. Who knows what the guys might do, you know? I have called the police before about this kind of stuff and I asked them if it was a waste of their time and they said no - that's part of their job. I do tend to get boiling mad at plain old rudeness like this... | |

And no on the hubby, he's more of a weiner than I am. I would have called the cops today, hubby was the one that told me not to, said it would cause a problem because they would know it was me.

| OMG!!! I go through the same exact thing, believe me, call the police it helps, don't go talk to them because they will know its you. Just be sneaky about it otherwise you will have problems with them. Don't call the 911 number though and if you want to get the cops out quicker........ Well, let me PM you what I do and it works. And if they turn it back on after the cops came out call the police right back the guys will get sick of it and will eventually stop believe me I have had a few of them, everytime I shut up one another one starts so I start calling the cops on them, and I will keep it up for my peace and quite . I know what you are talking about that base it's VERY annoying I start going crazy with it, so I know I better call the cops before I do something stupid and regret it later. My bf works in construction and he brought home some noise reduction ear things (they look like those really big head phones), OMG they are my best friends until the cops get here, because sometimes those damn cops take forever, thats why I learned some tricks . So DEFINATLEY call the cops you DO NOT have to give your name, the only problem with that is when you don't give your name all the cops can do is tell them to turn it down, but they cannot enforce it until you sign a complaint and then they will have to stop or they will get a ticket, and if they get a ticket and turn it on again they will get another ticket and if they do it a third time they get locked up for 30 days, plus another ticket, but the bad part about that is they will know you called because you have to sign the complaint and put your address and all that personal stuff on it.. I have never done that just because I don't want problems eitheir, but it's nice to know something can be done about it. But I bet your but I will call the cops annonoumaously ALLLLLLLLLLLL the time, even the cops will get sick of coming out and they will get mad with the guys and make them stop and possible arrest them, not only that but if the guys are doing something wrong/illegal or is wanted on an arrest warrant or a million other things why they wouldn't want the cops coming to their house house all the time, they will just stop.. Girl PM me I have some stories about my cop calling days, I'm going to PM you right now..
