| ![]() So, this weekend was in the 60's and sunny........pure bliss! Today, woke up to minus 15 degree weather and wind that will literally blow your mind away..... Can't keep the house warm enough and it's a small townhouse we rent. Bobbi is on my lap, Melody on my side and Kiro warming my feet........ Talk about global warming and greenhouse effect ![]() Seems like the weather is getting progressively worst (severe) each year............am I the only one who thinks this? ![]()

No Longer a Member | ![]() well...it was cold here several days ago--in the 40's. Then yesterday, it was 85 degrees! I took Chloe to the dog park yesterday, and we thought we would roast! OK, so from the 40's to the 80's is not the same as from the 60's to -15, but I thought I was gonna freeze the other day! ![]() |

And for you, that is still a dramatic change (40 degree difference). I just hear the newspeople talk about it over and over. However, at school/work people look at me like I'm an idiot. Some people have no peripheral vision and don't even notice changes like these ![]()

| ![]() We usually don't have to deal with too much on the cold extreme. I spent this last weekend planting flowers and Sunday night out of the blue, we had a freeze! All my pretty flowers froze. I guess I should have looked at the weather, but I could count on one hand the number of times we have had below freezing temps in a year. I had planted my flowers with nothing but a light sweater on, and that was only because of the wind. But that wind was bringing in the freeze. ![]()

| ![]() We have the same weather as your having. My office is facing the Hudson and the wind is unbelievable. Last night was the coldest night ever. When I walked Buddy around 9:45 I was so frozen and all he wanted to do his smell ice mounds and frozen grass! ![]() him if he didn't move faster. Did not faze him at all. This morning when I drove across the Tappan Zee my car felt like it was going to blow off. It is 10 outside. ![]() Keep warm. Wish I were home in my fuzzy slippers and flannel P.J's. | ![]() We've been having incrediably beautiful summer weather here and loving every second of it. My husband just got home Saturday from almost 6 weeks in Alaska where it was going from 20 to 40 below zero. He was so happy to be back here in such gorgeous weather. |

I hear you on that one Debra, I feel so bad for you! Yesterday the tree trimmers came to trim the palms, and olive trees we have out front. Our palms were fine, but the olive trees froze on the top, what a mess. I lost so many plants this year in just one night from the freeze, that happened a month or so ago. I had 4 ~ten year old plumerias that were stunning, I paid $30.00 for them when they were small, after ten years they were big, and worth 10X that much, gone, frozen to death. They were the highlight of our backyard. Today I am prunning my 50+ pots in the back, all my hibiscus froze, along with some gorgeous cactus, I am just sick. I had no idea that freeze was going to be so harsh. Tomorrow, I start planting flowers in the front, if they freeze I will have to shoot myself. But, I'm hoping I'm safe, it's in the high 70's here today. Here is a picture of one of my plumerias taken during the summer, not a great picture, but non-the-less, you get my point. (to the left, across the pool, yellow flowers) I had three more, one in each corner of our pool, gone! ![]()
