"BUMP" C'mon girls..lets keep this thread going! |
I was hungry for soup last night so I made up a batch of Broccoli Cheese Soup...it was YUMMY!!! And low carb! How is everyone making out with your diets...Monday I am supposed to be out of induction...will it hurt to stay in in for another week...just to make sure I am still losing? |
Approximately how many calories do you guys consume in a day? Hopefully not too little...you don't want your body going into starvation mode! |
I am sure it is plenty of calories...for example this is what I had today. Breakfast Sausage Egg McMuffin MINUS the muffin Lunch Baked Chicken Breast Italian Green Beans Brocolli Casserole Fried Cabbage 1/2 slice Sugar Free Cheesecake Supper Broccoli Cheese Soup I also found a good site if you ladies don't already know about it. http://www.lowcarbeating.com/ |
You are doing so good!! I am still pretty sick unfortunately. I'm going to give myself a few more days, then I'm back on track. |

Jodi, I am so sorry to hear you are sick! Hope you feel better really soon. Hey would it hurt for me to stay in the induction phase for one more week? My two weeks is up tomorrow but I am comfy here at 20 carbs a day...I have lost 1/3 of my goal weight!!! :D |
Lots of people stay on induction until they reach their goal. I'm going to try! |
If anybody wants that broccoli soup recipe here it is: Broccoli Cheese Soup 2 lb. bag frozen Cut Brocolli 3 green onions chopped - green tops only 1/2 stick butter 2 cans Chicken Broth 16 oz. carton Whipping Cream 1 lb. Velveeta Cheese - cubed Sautee Brocolli and green onion tops in the butter until brocolli is thawed. Add chicken broth and simmer for about 10 minutes or until brocolli is tender. Add Whipping Cream and heat, stirring often til hot. Add cheese and stir til melted. Enjoy! All of the ingredients are low carb, so it is pretty good for this diet! |
Jodi, make some of that soup...it will cure whatever ails ya!!! Chicken broth ya know! |

I haven't been in 'here' for a while and just wanted to stop in to say...I'm moving on to phase 2 of my weight loss plan. I bought the new WW book, with the point system included, last night. My husband would never do Atkins with me...too restrictive for him...but the WW plan has so much more freedom that I'm sure he'll do this one. So, since I need to buy groceries anyway, I'm off to the store later today to fill the pantry with goodies! I don't have much more to lose and I'm sure I can accomplish my goal by spring. Good luck everyone and keep up the good work! |
On Lipotrim, I consume 400 calories a day. 3 weeks and I have lost 16lb. |

I weighed yesterday and was so pleased to see that I had not gained back any weight while off Atkins for several weeks now. :) |

I've dropped another 10 pounds since starting back on atkins a couple weeks ago. I am really starting to look different now and people are noticing. It makes me very motivated to excercise and get the rest of the weight off. I think my goal is another 30 pounds but it just depends how I look. |
Hey guys...I am still at 10 pounds...I fell off of the wagon BAD this weekend...tomorrow, I have to start back low carbing...probably have to get back into induction...not sure how many carbs you have to consume to kick you out of induction. I need to add exercise to my plan and try to drink more water...that is my downfall right now...not enough water. But my clothes are fitting way better than before I started low carbing! So I guess I am accomplishing something!!! |
I got REAL sick on the Adkins diet. Be sure to watch your protein intake, too much is not good for your liver or kidneys. It can cause very serious liver and kidney damage. |
hey guys I'm joining - started today. :D :D :D I went and bought weight losing yoga dvd. The big test is tomorrow @ work - there's always munchies everywhere. |

Yep, I took Celebrex for two weeks and it was gone...like a miracle. The pain is the worst I think I have ever felt. I could not take a deep breath it hurt so bad...and then I got sick with a cold of all things...try coughing and sneezing with that mess! Before I went to the Dr., I really thought something was terribly wrong with me! |
Thanks...I'm determined to get there before shorts season arrives! Oh, I ordered a set of books from a seller on eBay. She made them up for her and her family so the lo-carb lifestyle didn't get boring...there's some good recipes in there. They're called 'Low Carb Creations' A simple, Affordable Recipes. There are 4 small books in the set and the nutritional information is all there...she also puts what phase of a low-carb plan each recipe is suited for. Here's her website: www.4yourgood.com Gotta go for a bit but I'll be back...... |

OK....so I went to her website and ordered the set of cookbooks...$21.99 + $3.03 Shipping. When I got to Paypal to pay for them, it added another $4.00 for Shipping and Handling! Is that the way you ordered and paid for yours? Was your shipping over $7.00? I canceled the order and emailed her...have not heard back yet. |
