I'm still here too but I've been baaad! Last Saturday was an emotionally trying day for me...I needed comfort food...I went to Cracker Barrel...and it was gooood! It was a lesson for me though...I've never ate for comfort, normally I stay away from food when I'm upset but I think it was a combination of everything that was happening at the time and those danged hormones  |
Things I have learned.... ........That have helped in my weightloss success ;) 1. Don't dread what 'diet' you are. If it is constantly on your mind and you obsess about what you cannot eat/craving etc......then don't do it (you are more than likely wasting your time and effort). This should become a WOL (way of life). I chose low-carb/low-fat because I ENJOY the meals (possibilities are endless) and it's not a temporary thing.......it's for life ;) 2. Have a reward day. Mine is Sunday. I eat whatever I please for dinner with my husband and don't cringe or feel guilty about it. I am back 'on track' the following day until Saturday........it doesn't hurt my weight or me :D 3. Please, please. please............DO NOT weigh your self constantly. Daily weights will vary (especially in a women's cycle). Weigh yourself ONCE a week (hide the scale if you have to). If you feel you are chained to the scale........you are being obsessed and falling into a diet-stress.....futhermore, your body won't let go of those unwanted pounds...:thumbdown 4. Eat many small meals a day. Don't skip breakfast, eat like a bird at lunch and then sit and make up for it by eating a huge meal for dinner.........doesn't work. If you under eat, you won't lose........if you over eat at one sitting you won't lose. Spread your meals.......be prepared/organized and always have healthy snack available (take them with you to work or your errands).......this also helps with the "I am always too busy to eat healthy" excuse ;) 5. If you don't like cooking, OR don't have much time (I work and go to school, plus take care of my household like many of you)..........designate 1 day of the week and cook in batches. Freeze meals etc.......:) 6. Take a good multivitamin. I take Ultra Mega Women without iron by GNC. 7. If you find yourself always complaining or miserable with your new way of eating.........don't do it. Try something else that may work for you. Hey, lets be real..........some people aren't successful with diets and resort to surgery or supplements........that is a personal choice......YOU decide ;) 8. EVERYONE needs a buddy for moral support. I myself, don't have one at home. My hubby thinks I am a lunatic who worries to much about her weight. Of course, he isn't the one who lost 173 lbs and can easily gain them back plus more  I have kept my loss for 2 years and I am darned proud of myself. What would a VERY fit young man who works in construction know  :p Hope I don't come across at arrogant............I am just sharing what worked for me. I have been on every diet on the face of this earth. Nothing else has worked |
I AM confident that this will work for me! I counted my carbs and drank 4 bottles of water...today's total was 13 carbs...I can do this! |

I know this is probably not accurate and is most likely water weight (I do feel a WHOLE lot less bloated for sure!), but the scale last night showed that I had lost 3 pounds! And 3 pounds is 3 pounds...any way you look at it! Talk about encouragement...right now it is 10:09 a.m. and I am trying to muster up enought want-to to go eat some eggs! |

Well I just had two deviled eggs...they were not too bad..I think I prefer them over fried eggs at this point. I was looking at carbs in veggies yesterday...something I did not know...onions have carbs but GREEN onions have LESS carbs...I am all about me some green :D nions!!! |
I still haven't lost anymore.I think maybe it is because I'm not drinking any water |

I know this is only day 2, but so far this is really not hard for me. I gave up Coke over a year ago and really never eat bread anyway. I LOVE sugar tho...but they have come a long way with Splenda and after my two weeks are up, I will have something sweet...but my cravings are not bad right now! |
