| Does anybody else have a problem with this?! I was at Walgreens picking up a prescription and walked down the toy isle with my 8 year old son while I was waiting. I had my back turned looking at something else when he said "Mommy, what kind of game is "Sex in the City?" I spun around and there was 3 board games that I think had NO BUSINESS in the toy isle. Sex in the City, Sopranos and Desperate Housewives. I was really angry. I went to the manager and asked him what were they doing there and he said "Oh, because they're just board games." I couldn't believe it. I called corporate and told them that I would take my business elsewhere if they continued to stock those games with the toys. Another thing. Have you noticed that Cosmopolitan magazines are EYE LEVEL to 6, 7 and 8 year olds? Why is this okay?!? And don't even get me started on the new Barbie dolls. They look like hookers wearing mini skirts up to their bums, navel rings and halter tops. Is that what little girls should be playing with? I just have to wonder if any of you all noticed these things. |

| As a matter of fact, I have and it disgusts me. Today I was driving home on a rural highway. I passed two boys, about 7 or 8 years old. They were waving home made signs that said, "Honk if you're Horny". It made me sick. No one honked by the way!

| My 2 cents..... Go to your tv....turn it on. No specific channel (excluding any shopping networks, public access, weather, etc...). What do you see?? Sex....violence...alcohol....drugs. And that's JUST on your local news. This is the society we're living in now. And, sorry to say, it's not gonna change anytime soon. Just my honest opinion.

| You've just got to talk to your kid about it. There is no way you're going to hide these things from him. I don't like the Bratz dolls for example, I don't like the clothes and makeup on them. But those things are going to exist and your kid is going to get exposed to things you don't agree with at a friend's house, school, tv, etc. In my house sex was a very taboo subject and we never talked about it. I wish things were different because my household always felt more like a business than a family when I was growing up. We weren't a close family. Your son is eventually going to have lots of questions whether or not you shelter him. If you don't talk to him about things like sex and answer those questions someone else will! Most likely it will be his peers or someone who could give him bad advice. Good luck. |

Donating YT 7000 Club Member | ew yes it bothers me too. in DARE class in 5th grade, they told us something that totally disgusted me. Most cigarette labels are down at children's eye level. and most of them have animals as their mascot to get kids' attention. how sick is that?

| We already had the sex talk with him. And I monitor what he watches on tv. But shouldn't I be able to let my child browse the toy isle or walk into a store without reading "10 Hot Sex Tricks To Try With Your Man Tonight!" It's offensive to me as well. I've never seen an episode of desperate housewives and I never will. In Utah they put magazines like that behind dividers so that only the name can be seen. I called one of the Walmart stores in Utah and asked them about it. The manager there told me that because the majority of families that live there find the material offensive they put it behind dividers. So don't you guys think that if we all said something that they would at the very least put the magazines behind dividers and move the games? It really isn't because I'm trying to shelter my son but I think there is something to be said about children being exposed to filth. Children can't be children anymore. |

I don't like it either, but it's the way things are today. They show everything on TV and no topic is TABOO. They openly discuss homosexuality, erectile disfunction, child molestation, menstrual cycles and masturbation. If you don't act shocked and just simply explain things, kids will just take it in stride. Don't give them anymore information than what they ask for. I was sitting in a restaurant with my grandchildren and the man in the next booth was talking on his cell phone and every other word was the F*** word. Some people are just pigs. I would have said dogs, but my yorkies definitely have more class than some people do. | |

| I am not a mom or anything but I have been around kids and baby sited all my life... Maybe bc I am not a mom.. I dont think there is a problem with it.. its just a game.. Here in german they show tits and etc in the news paper, magis. etc AND the german kids are them most well behaved, sweetest kids that I have ever meet! They dont even think twice when they see anything like that bc they see it so often... To them a boob is just a body part. Yes when I 1st saw it in the news paper I was like What the heck! but now its just not a big deal... I think there is not problem with the game being in the toy area. Its just a bored game. I am not trying to post this to get a big debate going.. It only MO.. |

| I'm raising my son to be a gentleman. To be respectful of women, to not look at them as sex objects and body parts but to look at them a precious gift from God that is to be respected, cherished, loved and honored. I'm raising him to be a man of integrity. My husband and I don't watch rated R movies, we don't watch bad programs on tv and we have a deep devotion and respect for one another. He was a virgin when we married as was his other 6 siblings. We have been married for 11 years now and he still opens the car door for me. He treats me like a queen and has never cursed or said a hateful word to me. This is how I am raising my son and I absolutley believe that exposure to graphic images hurts people of all ages.
