I was at Walgreens picking up a prescription and walked down the toy isle with my 8 year old son while I was waiting. I had my back turned looking at something else when he said "Mommy, what kind of game is "Sex in the City?" I spun around and there was 3 board games that I think had NO BUSINESS in the toy isle. Sex in the City, Sopranos and Desperate Housewives. I was really angry. I went to the manager and asked him what were they doing there and he said "Oh, because they're just board games." I couldn't believe it. I called corporate and told them that I would take my business elsewhere if they continued to stock those games with the toys.
Another thing. Have you noticed that Cosmopolitan magazines are EYE LEVEL to 6, 7 and 8 year olds? Why is this okay?!? And don't even get me started on the new Barbie dolls. They look like hookers wearing mini skirts up to their bums, navel rings and halter tops. Is that what little girls should be playing with?
I just have to wonder if any of you all noticed these things.
