We already had the sex talk with him. And I monitor what he watches on tv. But shouldn't I be able to let my child browse the toy isle or walk into a store without reading "10 Hot Sex Tricks To Try With Your Man Tonight!" It's offensive to me as well. I've never seen an episode of desperate housewives and I never will.
In Utah they put magazines like that behind dividers so that only the name can be seen. I called one of the Walmart stores in Utah and asked them about it. The manager there told me that because the majority of families that live there find the material offensive they put it behind dividers. So don't you guys think that if we all said something that they would at the very least put the magazines behind dividers and move the games?
It really isn't because I'm trying to shelter my son but I think there is something to be said about children being exposed to filth. Children can't be children anymore.
