| I'm there with ya... Hubby and I have been married a little over a year (we're both young mind you - early 20s - which makes it that much harder). We fight and bicker, sure, but I never thought it was that bad. Apparently he did. He left me one Thursday night. Said that was it, he didn't "want to do this any more" and thought we should get a divorce. I didn't see or hear from him for over three weeks. No phone calls, text message, emails, nothing. He wouldn't respond to my calls/messages either... I was a complete wreck. Couldn't eat, sleep, think, nothing... Anyway, long story short, he's back home now. We're going to counseling to hopefully sort things out. When it comes down to it we really do love each other, but sometimes it's just too easy to focus on all the negatives and forget about all the reasons you got married in the first place.... If we've learned anything from the counseling it's that you need to be open about how you feel... Don't let things fester and boil inside until you can't take it and explode. Yelling doesn't do anything other than anger the other person too... Sit down, have a civilized conversation and find a way to work through it. We probably won't get the exact outcome we were hoping for, there will have to be compromises... No marriage is perfect, there's always going to be a certain amount of work involved. I wish you luck.... hope everything works out. |

| We are ok now. We had another big argument after he came home last night, all because he ddin't want to admit that I was right, not that I wanted to be right it was because I was right, when they don't help you in the house that is not only yours but is both of us house and you are the only one putting effort to keep it clean and nice and after you ahve work so hard on it he comes home and messes it up in a blink of an eye, you really feel like you aren't being appreciate it. That's how everything started. But we are ok now.

| Glad everything is going better. I use to complain about mine coming home and making a mess of everything too. He has a habit of just laying things down instead of putting them up. After my son was born (15 years ago) I made the rule not only for my husband, but for my son too, If I had to pick it up it goes in the trash. I didn't care what it was. After a few times of things coming up missing, they put things up. Why should I have to pick it up and most of the time more than once. So that's where the rule came from. Also, we have two garages and if I found something in the house that wasn't suppose to be here, I threw it out the back door. I know it sounds harsh and drastic, but I wanted to have a life too, and not have to run around behind the boys picking up after them all the time. It worked!!
