| You wouldn't be human if you didn't get upset over something like that. Kids can be a handful and no matter how well you watch them, they still manage to sneak in a few "dirty deeds." I'm glad you are feeling better about things and don't allow other people to annoy you. Often times the people that are the first to judge you are the ones who would react the exact same way you did, sometimes even worse!!

I actually tell ya how it is. I came on to tell you all what happened and theres some on here that has totally taken it out of context so whatever they want to be judgemental and pissy and bitchy they can go ahead hopefully theyll come back to reality and realizxe there are not perfect either!! |

| "WOW", everyone really has their own opinion on YT. I have two kids and it only takes seconds for a child to do something, just like for a yorkie to. You can go to the bathroom come out an they put flour all over the kitchen. So, I don't think it was an issue of her watching her closly enough. The only thing I'm concerned about is how upset she got, but then that is understandable. If my child did something like that I would be mad too, but no enough to feel like beating them .

| I think some of you are being way to hard on her. I babysit for a 2yr old and sometimes things happen while you are looking at them. I have been telling him no no no no and moving towards him and him do it anyway. It doesn't take long to rip wallpaper either. I am sure she was just frustrated at the time but calmed down. Sorry this happened to you but as you know sometimes they are so fast and there is just nothing you can do but deal. Trust me I know I have been there.

| My daughter tore some of my bathroom wallpaper off too a couple of years ago,so I can really relate. It is very frustrating. We had to wait awhile to fix it too because of finances. But I do have to say if I were in your shoes,I wouln't ask the parents for help to fix it financially or otherwise, becouse the little girl was in your care when this happened, and I would think that makes you responsible. Your the babysitter. I would just chalk it up as an expensive lesson learned. I too used to babysit and while I was changing a diaper and feeding a newborn, another child found some house paint from our remodeling and decided to paint the babybed and all over the walls in the kids room where I thought they were watching barney.I got most of it off,but did wind up repainting.that room.lol. I didnt say anything to her parents becouse I didnt want to look like I wasint doing my job right Ps. This was not meant to sound rude at all. I hope you dont take it that way. Good luck in whatever you decide with this situation. I hope all goes well.

| A daycare operator and a parent are kind of two different responsibilities in a sense. As a daycare operator or nanny you are caring for someone else's kid. You are quite lucky that the baby never ate the wallpaper and got ill or choked. Yes this can happen under a parents care, but trust me, it will not play out the same way if something goes wrong while in daycare or under a nannies care as it would under the parents care. A daycare is even more imperitive to have enough staff per child to keep an absolute eagle eye on each kid especially for those little toddlers. An 18 months old wouldn't have a clue it is doing something wrong. Can't blame the baby or the parents that aren't there. |
