| People are idiots. I will be sooooo glad when this teacup craze passes....and I OWN one!!! My 10 month old (who was given to us) is less than three lbs, and just me myself personally, I do NOT like it. I love HER, you understand, but ooooooh I wish she'd put some meat on her bones. I much prefer the stockier, more substantial build of my 14 week old puppy--I think she's much more cuddley! Anyway, my puppy already weighs more than the 10 month old, and when we're out in public she automatically gets "passed over" by all the people ooohing and awwwwing over my older tiny girl. So I'm BRACING myself for what it will be like when she's grown. I know it's going to tick me off! EVERYONE I meet who sez. that they want a yorkie is looking for "teacups". I try to take advantage of the opportunity to educate about the possible health and safety issues, and noone wants to hear it. They're all like, "But I just want a little dog to sit by me on the couch while I watch TV". What the heck?!?! Anything over four lbs. is too big to sit by you on the couch?! Someone forgot to tell that to my 16 lb. cat!

| Shylah is a tiny yorkie, but not what I was looking for. It just happened to be a female available from this breeder. You worry a lot more about the little guys then you do the bigger ones. Starsky is a hefty 9.5 lbs and never has had a health problem. I do get questioned about what kind of dog he is since he is so big, but he has a cute yorkie face and it isn't hard to figure out when you look at that. I can't wait for little Shylah to grow more!!

| Sorry, but to me. 4 1/2 lbs IS small. We 'share' Kasey who is almost 3 lbs bless his soul. Although my daughter is SO careful with Trixie and has NEVER treated her roughly, I wouldn't even DREAM of having Kasey at our house "full time" right now. People don't realize having a small one has a HUGE downside as well. |

| That is rude...I mean to me any dog smaller than the size of a newborn is going to be tiny! LOL. I wonder what these people would do if they came in contact w/ a bull mastiff? |

| Oh, yea they are crazy 4.5 and 5.5 are small to me. I have a 2.5 pound yorkie and people tell me they have one that is smaller. This one lady said she has one that is 1.2. Is that even possible for a yorkie to be that small full grown? I guess what I'm trying to say is I don't care what size yorkie you have there is someone out their that always will tell you they have a smaller one or yours is too big.

| I took Lola to the vet for her 16 week shots & they weighed her & said I should "really moniter her food intake", and cut back to 1/4 cup a day. I asked him if that was safe because isn't she still growing? and he told me that overfeeding your puppy can cause problems & he was sure I didn't want her to be "chunky" or overweight...But I'm sure you are wondering how much my my little girl weighed....3 pounds 1 ounce. Its unbelieveable that my vet, who SHOULD know standard sizes, can say to cut back her food so she doesn't get "chunky". I think she's on the small side, and by no means is she overweight. I am still feeding her 1/2 a day, which follows the guideline on the bag of Royal Canin. |

| OMG - this is just too hysterical. My Oliver is a whopping 14 lbs. I wonder what they would say about him! lol. When I get those kind of responses, I just say he's a TeaPOT yorkie. Boy...you should see their faces! Priceless expressions, and usually, they don't know what to say! lol. Some people are just ignorant!

| I am so sorry you had this bad experience. We are all laughing, but it is a sad day for Yorkies when 4 1/2 and 5 1/2 lbs. is considered HUGE! I would hope that maybe these people are ignorant (meaning lack of knowledge) and will learn. |

| I guess if it made them feel superior because they're dog was smaller than yours, they don't have too much going for them. People like that are to be pitied. Nothing you could have said would have gotten through to them anyway, so you may as well have bitten your tongue. Some people are just too dumb to get insulted. |

| Unbelievable. I have a 6.5 pounder, so I suppose by those people's idiotic standards he's humongous !! It's ignorant people like these that keep unethical breeders of tiny yorkies in business. Sadly, it is the dogs that suffer in the end.
