| I have nothing against tinies personally but i would rather my dog have a bit of substance. I mean, I worry and obsess over Nikko now and he is a healthy 5.5 pounder. Can you imagine how neurotic I would be if he were 3 pounds? It must be so stressful to own a dog so fragile and delicate that the mere air can hurt it. Give me a standard or teapot Yorkie over a tiny any day!!

| I hate when people act like that! The other thing I hate almost as much as when they say she's not even a dog cuz she's so small!!! Grrr....I can't understand how someone can say that right to my dog and me!!!!

| I have never had that happen to me, there tends to be really big dogs around here and very few small dogs. But I don't know if I could have kept my mouth shut on that, I don't like "teacup" dogs, they arn't as healthy and it does not take much to injure them, plus some of them look like a stuffed animal, totally fake. Don't get me wrong I am not saying I hate them, just that they arn't for me. I would rather brag about my 7 pound yorkie than one that was really tiny. I love the standard size of a yorkie, at 7 pounds they are still perfect to me. I would rather have a 7 pounder than one that only weighed 1 or 2 pounds, jmo.

| What jerks! People are sooo stupid!! I would've loved to hear what they had to say about Kirby, a 13 lb. half-breed.

| People are just like that. My oldest yorkie is 3.5 pounds and they do that to her too. But its more like "shes a little girl. but not as small and cute as you". Usually happens at petsmart. My baby's weight goes up to 4.5 pounds during a heat cycle and honestly you can't tell. I haven't seen a yorkie yet that wasn't gorgeous. I prefer them 4 or over 4 pounds so you won't have to worry about thier health, but the tinies are all the rage. You did good in ignoring the remark. You proved you were the bigger person. 4.5 to 6 pounds is not big. My poodles are 8 and 10 and that isn't even big. Not to me atleast |

| Donating YT 500 Club Member | You probably did the right thing, to ignore them and their stupidity. I would have been tempted to educate them to the breed standards, but I found people like this don't really care about things like standards. They will be crass in their comments regardless of what they have been told. Girl, you must have some sort of self control though, cause I don't think I could have walked away w/o some comment

Yorkies come in all sizes Alfie is about 7lbs and Lottie is 5lbs and I think they are tiny , my mums yorkie is 21lbs you should see the looks we get when we all go out together!!I think its sad that people are so preoccupied with weight!Give me a healthy yorkie and I dont care what size it is.

| how rude! some people can be so ignorant (sp) take my cousins yorkie for example, she went to the vet to ask questions about breeding and all that and when this young intern was filling out a form and asked her the reason for the appoinment and when she told her why the girl looked at Sophie, my cousins yorkie, and said "Isnt your little piggy too big to breed?" with this kind of smirk on her face!!!! but the outcome was that so called "intern" is no longer there after my cousin had a word with the vet. some people are so, just GRRR!

| I have two bigger yorkies that are 8 & 9 lbs then I have 3 that are 4 to 5 lbs & one that is 6 lbs, I have had a run in with a few people at the vets well I'm very HOT temper so they got a ear full until my hubby heard my voice rise and he new somebody had pissed me off and they was going to catch hell well they caught some but he stop me, I could have ripped her head off.Everbody got a option there like buttholes, so with the little tiny ones all I got to say is good luck have lots of $$$$ there to sickly for me, and if you have one in good health good because there few and far between. |
