| Sorry to hear about your carpet. I suggest if you have a closet have someone to remove a section there and replace the spot. They can do miracles. |

| Call a carpet cleaning service..you will be amazed what they can do..and it is worth the price..better then new carpeting. My daughter had a hole chewed in the middle of her bedroom carpet by a new puppy...it is completely gone now. I do know Chlorox Clean-Up will remove grape juice stains from a white coverlet...but I diluted it, rinsed and let it air dry... |

| I love the oxy-clean carpet cleaner. I am fairly sure it will work on that stain. Try it. |

| And yes, most homeowners policies would pay for an accident like that. We have worked claims for similar damages before. However, some policies have clauses that say they won't pay for pet damage, which this was not. If you can't clean it yourself or professionally clean it, I would contact my insurance company. Be sure and save all of the receipts where you tried to clean it as well. You can file those too. Good luck!

| Try Spot Shot... You can get it at the Grocery Store or the Drug Store. Real Estate Agents swear by it when they are selling homes and doing last minute clean ups... Only a few bucks for a can... |

That's a good option if you can't get it out using all the great advice here. Once, years ago, I was painting a bedroom, had a tarp over the light tan carpet. Well, I was in the process of relocating the tarp to another part of the room when the door bell rang. I set the paint down (really dumb, I know) on the ladder tray and ran downstairs. I'm not sure how it happend, but by the time I got back upstairs, I had two paint covered dogs, a HUGE amount of paint on the carpet, and doggie footprints everywhere! Yeah, it' funny now...After tossing both dogs in the bathtub (oh, did I mention this was oil-based paint, so that just COMPOUNDED my problem!) I rented an extraction machine (on the advice of the equipment rental guy) and extracted as much paint as I could. Then I called a professional carpet cleaning service. The first one didn't sound too confident, so I called another...they did a great job, and the stain didn't return. GOOD LUCK! Hope your feeling a little better today. Hang in there, something has got to work! | |

| I would try every carpet cleaner on hand,, sooner the better.. Heres my DUH carpet story~ I had a spot.. ( no doubt Bailey when he was little) so I reach under the sink to grab this spray carpet cleaner, and I spray all over my new cream berber carpet,, and I realize as I'm spraying,,, " Hmmm that looks odd,, kinda greenish?" YES, it's GREEN SPRAY PAINT! Who put that under there? (me) So I'm flipping out,,thinking all the things I'm sure you did,,,"Hmm in the runway,, can't put a rug there, not a plant... what am I gonna do",,, So in a frenzy I grab the CORRECT cleaner,, 2 from the Dollar store,, dump them on it, start scrubbing with a brush, diluting with water,,scrubbing more... and it came out! For months when I looked at it I thought it looked green,,, but noone else could tell where it happened ( believe me I aksed everyone) "Any spot look green on this carpet?" So try everything, and if no good,,, call the professionals.. I have even had the hummingbird bird food issue,, filled the container w. water, the feeder had a hole, and it poured on the kitchen floor,,but carpet there ya couldn't see it..

| Sorry abouyt your carpet, you could cover it with a rug runner. Red dye is awful to get out. This is realy of the subject, but I can't believe that they put red dye in hummingbird food. It is not good for them, You use plain old sugar and water and put it in a red container. |

| Ouch!!! I had white carpet in my dinning room, living room , Bed room and Hall. (ps Never again) I have the BEST carpet spot remover from the vacuum store I go to. Unfortunately without looking at the can I can't tell you what it's call. I let you know when I get home. It takes out just about everything. My daughter got sick one night. Ran to my bedroom to tell me she was going to be sick. Instead of going in my bathroom she proceeded to run through the bedroom, down the hall, (yes sick the whole way). We had spaghetti for dinner!!!!!!!
