And yes, most homeowners policies would pay for an accident like that. We have worked claims for similar damages before. However, some policies have clauses that say they won't pay for pet damage, which this was not. If you can't clean it yourself or professionally clean it, I would contact my insurance company. Be sure and save all of the receipts where you tried to clean it as well. You can file those too. Good luck! |
