Guess what? I did it!!

Yep, I'm single. I'm down and out right now but it was for the best. I know it was. This is going to be very hard for the next couple of months as I have just stopped talking to my best friend/boyfriend of four years, but I really needed to do this for myself. I am trying to stay busy, but breakups still are hard. This is my first 'real' breakup. So thanks to everyone for your encouragement and friendly words before. It helps to know people are behind me. My parents of course are behind me but the more the merrier. The initial break-up was really hard for me. I had to call the ambulance because he called me in the middle of the night telling me that he had just taken all of his prescription pills and he wanted to talk to me until he fell asleep. (another thing I don't need to deal with anymore). So I called an ambulance to his house and I don't know what happened. I haven't been answering his calls because it's too hard. Just thought you guys would like to know that I finally did something good for my life...so no more "Punch your lights out!" posts!

if there is anyone who has dealt with breakups, i the girl... too many
heartbreaks in my life also.....you made the right decision,,, keep your chin
up and walk straight ahead....think possitive and try to forget him..

been there , done that, over and over.. im suprised i didnt have a breakdown

Wow Hannah! Sounds like you've been through a lot. I am so proud of you for doing what you needed to do. I know it's hard, but you'll be glad you did it. When I had a bad breakup, I would always be the one to call and try to get back together even if I was the one who did the breaking up. I told my best friend I was going to call her whenever I had the urge to call him. She was on call 24/7 for a few months and I called her whenever I was picking up the phone to dial him. I think it really helped because she put things in perspective for me. Maybe you can do the same w/ one of your friends.

I know it's difficult to ignore, but his desperate attempts at getting your attention are just that. With the help of your friends and family you will pull through this and find someone who treats you like a star

Thanks guys. It's just so hard to see someone you care about so upset. He doesn't have any family for support and he has a few friends, so I hope he is getting what little support from them. He deff has some baggage to work out before he can be in a relationship. I also need time to chill out and re evaluate myself and find myself again. Lord 4 (almost) years, I was almost 18 when we got together. Thats such a critical time. Anyways, enough blabber, I do feel so free.
AND, ps, I already got askout out! Haha, I was like " I hate boys, back off!"

Awww Hannah I'm sorry to hear about your tough time. Breakups are HARD and never easy. Never even close to easy but YOU CAN DO IT! You'll definitely be better off in the long run and a stronger woman now to move on with your life and find someone eventually who suits you best.

These are the tough ones, honey, and you did it!! I can tell you right now that a beautiful, intelligent, friendly, and joyfilled woman such as yourself is much better off ALONE than suffering the way you were with him...

I can understand why you would want to take some time off from relationships until some soul healing has occured. You take all the time you need, girlie! This is a wonderful time for you to spend discovering yourself and who Hannah truly is! Do something you have wanted to do for awhile, but couldn't because of him! Take a trip, take a class, get another puppy, lololol, whatever would make you happy, keep you busy, and make life exciting!
