| I have never once shared a bed with my daughter or my yorkie. There are too many risks involved with bed-sharing. What happens if you roll over on them at night or they fall out of the bed or get stuck between the mattress and the wall.... parents have enough to worry about normally, why add something to the mix! I am also against sharing a room with your kids, unfortunately I have shared a room with my daughter since the day that she was born, not because I want to but because I have to. I dream of the day that she gets her own room, yes I will cry because I'll miss her at night but I will get over it as soon as I realize that I can lie in bed at night and read with the light on instead of using a flashlight. Oh, and something else I have to look forward to, I won't have pacifiers flying at my head when she is ready to get up in the morning!!!

| I could NEVER let my children sleep in bed with us. I would be up all night afraid I had rolled on them or kicked them out of bed. Also when you spend your entire day with them, there is nothing better than putting them in THEIR bed at 8 oclock and having the rest of the evening to your self. I can't think of ONE good reason why they SHOULD be in your bed I think parents that do this, do it for themselves. Maybe because it is easier |

My dd used to come get in our bed after we were asleep. Someone told me oh, you need to stop that immediately, well it's pretty dang hard to stop something when you're asleep She quit doing it when it got uncomfortable to sleep with 3 of us in the bed, however, if my dh is out of town...I can tell you where she plans on sleeping Btw, I don't know of any 15 year olds still sleeping with their parents And if my husband started an on line petition where the kids were sleeping wouldn't be his only problem....actually problem solved...how 'bout you sleep on the couch, sweetie

I agree, we knew where our boundries were and what the punishment was going to be if we crossed them. Many of todays kids are so disrespectful to authority figures because they get by with it at home. And for those who say it is no one elses business, I disagree, those are the kids that cause the problems that the rest of the children have to endure. Discipline starts in the home. Monsters are raised, not born.

| I agree that it could be emotionally damaging, but above and beyond all that, shouldn't parents be concerned with it being EXTREMELY dangerous?

I'd put hubby on the couch for starting an ON LINE petition or any petition for that matter. That doesn't help anything, jmho.

| This reminds me of a story, I never slept in bed with my mom but one night it was storming really bad and I was like 7 or 8 and I got scared. So I got up and went to crawl in bed with my mom, well when I woke her up she was having a bad dream and she raised straight up in bed and started growling at me like she was some kind of monster! I was so scared I started running around the house screaming! When she snapped out of it and realized what was going on she appoligized and then let me crawl in bed with her!

I know, I'm getting the "Weird Lady" look from you guys but let me explain... this is my soon-to-be-ex-husband's sister who lets her soon-to-be 15 year old son sleep in bed with her.... they are ALL a bit weird on that side of the family.

I believe it just shows how desparate he is. He is trying to get his wife back and she doesn't seem to care about him at all. Personally I believe that the children in the bed is not the real problem. I believe the wife has other issues that are way deeper. Why else would she feel the need to have the children sleep with her. The baby is 2 months old. Not even old enough to know the difference.
