| I have ALWAYS dated older guys..until now. My boyfriend is WAY more mature than all the older ones I dated and a year younger than I am. Im only 21 so maturity in guys at my age is an issue ..I always made it such a big deal about dating older and almost didn't want to date him..but a year later we're still together and doing great

| hmmmm. I was 22 and my husband was 35 when we started dating... It was the talk of the town... Ummmm, well, it could have been cause the two of us were still married.... he he he.. we were divorcing our spouces at the time! No shaking of the heads just yet! lol I'm 31 now and he is turning 44 this month. He's my old man. It matters only when he starts worring that I am going to trade him in for a newer model. Which will be NEVER! I love him more now then I ever have! I love that he is older. He is wise, established, done with his wild days, done trying to prove he's a man to his guy friends, and really ready to settle down. He knows what is important in life. He does not feel the need to dominate the household so his "Boys" will respect him. We work as a team. My first husband of 2 years was my age, his ex-wife of 13 years was his age. We were both very unhappy. I just got out sooner. See women are smarter! It works, I get my handsome old man, and he gets his cute little girl. Ya I went there. Couldn't help myself.

| I don't think age really matters as long as you are happy. I have always dated older guys (from 1-4 yrs older) since at my age (22) their maturity is lacking. Although I swear, even when they are older they still act so immature sometimes.

| Well I have been married a few times ..sorry to say I once married a man 20 years older .ouch ..it makes a diff .The most important part of a relationship is the one you have with yourself ..for if you think its the right man ..the right amount of money ..ect..youll end up in a place that isnt so nice and the good news is if you stay true to who you realy are and know, you will be with the person who is just right for you and no one knows what that will look like ..but you will. Okay ..I"ll stepdown from my soap box .now ..

THANKS KATHRYN I am so glad that the part of my life that thought it was out there somewhere is now over ,I finally learned how to love myself and to receive love ,I have a happy life now ..haha thinking back to a aha ..moment when i was with the 20 yr my senior person I went to a family reunion and it hit me like a ton of bricks ,,the age difference thing and i knew then that i had to stop the relationship. I could'nt see myself in the position of a caretaker for him, which was a wake up call for my lack of love .Since that time I spent another ten years recovering from my deep self hatred .I had the opportunity to forgive my Alcoholic father .which had more to do with me than him ..after all I was talking about my love " It was a very life changing experience ,a awakening of sorts .Anyway thank you for the nice comment I do believe we all have stories to tell this just happens to be a area I have experienced alot in .

| I dated both younger and older. I met my husband just after I turned 19 - he was 23 at the time. We were married 2 years later and this May it will be 10 years! I can't believe it! He graduated high school the year before I started - we both went to the same high school. In fact he graduated with two of his good friends and we met like I said when I was 19, well then two of my friends that I graduated with met the two friends he graduated with - to make a long story short we are all married and all have two kids!! We have been married the longest by about 4 years, we were actually engaged 3 months after we met. |
