Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | Received and sent back to you !! I've lost 2 lbs but know at my age - 47 it's going to take a MONTH to show up....but I am really eating better - I went to my bro's Birthday party (he's 46) Friday night - didn't eat ANYTHING that was fattening and skipped the cake - AMAZING for me cause I LOVE sweets ! I could eat Birthday Cake for BREAKFAST ! lol - it's helped that I still don't feel well...I think that has something to do with my willpower right now - food still tastes funny.... oh...I'm at 146.....blows me away....after being 120 or less my WHOLE life |

| Way to go, Villlette! I'm proud of you! No cake, WOW! It's best if you do only lose about a pound a week. That way it'll be easier to KEEP it off. It's not good to lose weight fast. Good luck to everyone weighing in! My secret: I weigh early morning before I eat anything and stark naked! That's the way I came into this world!! LOL

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | Pat...you don't know how hard it was to say no to cake for me....I actually took my piece and wrapped it up and brought it home for my husband and MADE him eat it right away so I wouldn't sneak it ! |

Now if you think you can't eat a tiny slice of cake without chowing HALF of the entire cake, DON'T DO IT!! But a slice to celebrate will not hurt you! HUGS! You are trying SO HARD, V!! I am very proud of you too!

| I wasn't in the "official" club before, but I've lost 5lbs in the last two weeks. I'm eating a slice of deep dish pepperoni for breakfast right now. I haven't had one drink (beer) in the last 3-4 weeks and have been bringing my lunch to work everday (instead of buying a 9 dollar greasy sandwich and chips). I haven't really been "dieting" though either. I've been walking between 4-6 miles a day.

We aren't "dieting" either, Kristy! We are changing the way we eat daily, which it sounds like you are too! (though I'd be careful about eating too much of that pizza, lol! ) You have cut back on many things that you know aren't good for you, and you are to be congratulated! But not only have you cut back, you have also increased your calories burned by increasing your activity! This is a SURE recipe for weight loss!! GOOD FOR YOU! Keep up the good work!

Hehe. That's the thing - I'm NOT watching what I eat because I love eating junk like pizza without feeling guilty about chowing down. I'm just increasing my activity level by 3 or 4 times than what I was doing before Then again, not to be an "ageist", but I'm 22 years old and I probably lose weight more quickly and easily than someone twice or three times my age - just ask my mom Now if only my dog would go for a walk with me He is so lazy! I hope everyone reaches their weight loss goals with ease! I have 25 more pounds to lose!!!

| LOL, enjoy it while you can, girlie girl! Quote:
Not to be an "ageist" either (dang, great word, I LOVE it!), but you are right, it is a bit easier to lose weight at your age than mine. (51). But eating right now and watching how you eat will ensure that when you DO get to be my age, you DON'T have to diet or watch what you eat because you are eating in a healthy manner as a matter of habit. OK, off my soapbox. If you read the thread I posted in the first box here, you will see that eating right is not about deprivation, it's just about eating healthy for life, and if you start now, I am guessing that 25 pounds you are looking to lose will melt away with the excercise you are getting ! Best of luck to you!

| I lost 2 pounds. I was really good this week. Then today I went to my neices baby shower (she is having twins next month) and they had a chocolate fountain! Well, at least there was fruit under the chocolate! Actually, I only covered a couple of pieces, the rest I ate naked. The fruit, not me! I'm at least thinking about what I eat. I can't say that every choice I make is the right one, but I guess any good choice I make is a good thing!

| Oh, and here is something really funny: Tucker is afraid of the scale!!!!! I put it on the floor and he started barking and growling at it! Then he ran out of the bathroom. I told him I know EXACTLY how he feels!

Good job staying away from the chocolate! That would have been hard for me, too!
