| my house is CLEAN! my fiance left for vegas yesterday morning for a convention.... so i spent the morning cleaning and getting everything straightened up and livable, well low and behold i wake up this morning and guess what? The apartment is STILL CLEAN!!!!! I always did get aggravated when he threw clothes on the floor and didnt put the dishes away, but geez... now that i am on day 2 i am realizing that he makes up a good percentage of mess that I am constantly picking up around the house !!!! ... forget this, we are starting a "new regime" the moment he gets back... its called pick up youre fricken stuff and amanda will have a better day regime!!!! |

| Oh just rub it right in that YOUR house is CLEAN and MY house is a FRIGG'N MESS! I'm jealous! Congrats on your clean house - and keeping it that way! I actually just recently became unemployed (I quit my job, long story) and so THIS week, that's my only goal. To get my house SPOTLESS! Now, if you have any advice on keeping it that way with men around

| OHHH Girls, here's my #1 House Rule: If it's left on the floor & I am cleaning then it is going in the trash! I have never seen my hubby run so fast as to when he sees me with that trash bag in hand!!! HAA HAA |

| I hate you, I really hate you. Just kidding. There's nothin worse when your family: 1. Doesn't even notice when you've spent about 8 solid hours cleaning every corner, and 2. drops all their junk in the living room as soon as they walk in and say, "boy am I tired from watching that ball game and cheering and stuff"

| Wow, what would it feel like to have a clean house...hmmmm...it's been too long, I can't remember. The other day I told my husband the maid wanted me to tell him to please put his towels in the laundry basket! We don't have a maid but I sure feel like one sometimes. My worst worst pet peeve is when I have to pick up socks and sneakers left under the coffee table. UGH!!

| I've discovered that my 'threshold' for mess is so far above that of my three men, I couldn't wait them out if I tried. If I used the trash bag route, I would be the only person in the house with any belongings. My boys, ages 15 and 18, have three chores - dropping laundry down the shoot from their bathroom; bringing dishes back to the kitchen; putting trash in the trashcan (also taking out full trash and replacing bag). Other than that, their rooms are clean. If I never go upstairs, it is much better for me (scary up there). I actually quit my job last year when I decided my husband does nothing but make messes. It scares me when he does anything but watch TV fearing the mess that follows. At least now I consider cleaning up after him 'my job' and it is much easier to swallow. Luckily I still have time for my real babies

| I am having a really hard time with this... i think we are going to have a talk tomarrow because this is really bad... I feel, that with school (i will soon be taking 18 units!!!! ) and my fiance wants me to get another job while i am doing that (i have to take a Leave of absence from work because i need to be in school during those hours), AND i need to do volunteer work Monday Wed, Fri, as a requirement for the credential program, AND all the homework i will have to complete and tests i will have to study for, AND studying for the RICA (BIG test required in cali for a credential) .... and then cleaning up after my fiance when i finally come home???? (i dont think so .... we are going to really need to have a "group effort" to do all the things that need to be done around here)... oh yeah... and MY sundays are devoted to doing all of his and my laundry.... |

| Coming from someone who knows, pick your battles carefully and WIN the battles you choose to fight. It is esentially the same as potty training a Yorkie. GOOD LUCK! Remember the 6 "P"'s in Yorkie Training: PERSISTANCE - PATIENCE - PERSERVERANCE - PRAISE while avoilding the PEE and POOP |
