| ![]() My house is spottless (except Rocky's toys all over the place) when my BF is out of town working, but as soon as he gets home I am picking up his clothes that he leaves out in the living room floor or bedroom floor and beer bottles that are sitting on the counter right next to the trash can. I don't think he knows what a dirty clothes hamper or a trash can is either. I get so annoyed because I am somewhat of a neat freak. I cannot not stand a messy house. When I mention that he needs to help pick up, he says I worked allday, like I didn't either. I think guy's think we are their maids or something. My BF never had to clean his room or had chores growing up, because his mom did everything for him and his dad and still does. Plus he had a maid when he lived by himself. I think I am going to get us a maid, so I can lay on my a___ all day long on my days off, like he does. |

| ![]() Well, let me apologize to all of you whose men were raised to be lazy. I never thought I would be one of THOSE moms, but I find it is actually EASIER to clean up after them than to make them work. I actually thought I was so lazy I would just lie on the couch spouting orders. I will also warn you that you might do the same thing if you raise boys yourself. It is an easy trap to fall into. Be very careful! I just keep telling mine (15 & 18) that they MUST go to college, get a really good job, hire a maid and have a housewife to care for them. Surely no one woman can do all they need. I'll see how that works and update you in a few more years.

| ![]() Ok, I've been married 18 years and have 2 of the worst slobs you ever met for kids. It's taken me a long time to learn the secret to keeping my sanity: lower your standards! I've finally learned that the house is NEVER going to be as clean as I like it. My hubby is good about straightening up but he wouldn't dust if his life depended on it. I've stopped going into the kids bedrooms because it gives me heart palpitations. Tucker has more toys than my kids ever had and feels the need to drag them all out at once. I just close my eyes, and don't answer the door!

Good Luck. Let me know if it works. I've been telling my husband this for years. I don't mind it so bad now because I'm not working in school but, I told him as soon as I started working he was going to have to do his share. Yea right he never did when I worked before. So I'm not expecting much. Like I said good luck. Keep us posted on your progress.

I get my so mad and my son & my husband both. They never make it to the trash can. My husband cleans his pockets out everything on my bakers rack and all he has to do is open up the door where he takes his clothes after he pulls them off and goes right by the trash can but, does he throw it away. No. Another thing that really irks me is when he does empty the trash he doesn't tie the bags he takes them to the can and I end up picking trash up out of the street after the trash runs. If he has to pick it up he fusses the whole time. Then gets mad when I tell him he wouldn't have to do that if he would just tie the bags. That that is why I buy the handle tie bags. Sorry for rambling.

| ![]() Well I have the same problem. My husband and 2 kids cant cleanup after themselves. I used to clean after them but you know what I dont anymore. Sometimes our apt is a big mess and Hubby starts complaining. I tell him look around whos mess is it, is not mine. Then my husband, son and I clean up. Some of you dont know that Im sick, so I dont work and out on dissability. Im extremetly tired 95% of the time that I dont have the energy to mantain the apt clean, even if wanted too. So I learned to let it be. My husband does help with the cooking, of course he leaves a huge mess on the kitchen. |
