2 Attachment(s) Well, I'm not sure if I mentioned it or not. Here are some pictures. These are from Pinterest, not mine, but he made them exactly like this. I really love it and want him to make me a matching hand towel holder too. |

We still need to paint, just installed the over the range microwave last week, had to have electrical wiring done & get the microwave connected to a vent. Now the kitchen is 100% finished. Now back to procrastinating.:D |

https://www.etsy.com/listing/1764664...der-steel-pipe And if you like pipe, my dd is making these 3 shelves to go above her toilet in her bathroom. She picked up a piece of reclaimed wood (pine I believe) that was very rugged, weathered, beaten etc., had her dad cut it to length, and just stained over the top of what was already there. Then she got the pipe pieces to fit her board. It'll look amazing. I think the instructions call for 3/4" pipe x 10" but that's pretty big so she used 1/2" pipe x 6" or 8" I can't remember but it's easy to customize them to size you want. I am considering copying her. (She's just waiting on her BF to help her put them up. I included a pic. The board she used has splits, nail holes, and large chunks missing. I hope they hold up. $52 yikes! It's funny I see things on etsy a lot, that I'm like, um anyone can make that! Then I check the price and it's ridiculous. Any of you read Regretsy before when it was still up? |

I'm going to hold off on crown moulding for a bit for now. Gotta do my cork board (got the wood for it yesterday), just gotta look for a trim to make a frame. Then an ambitious project: I'm going to turn my sliding closet doors into a hidden bookcase folding closet door. Like this: How to Make a Secret Door to a Room or Closet |

Has anyone started their 2015 Home To Do list? I know from this thread I am not the only person who has an ongoing home improvement list. My 2015 Home Goals are 1. Paint the entire first floor, not sure what color I want yet but I do know it will be one color or shades of the same color. I am thinking I want to go with a nice buttery white, almost pale yellow and then do my crown and base boards in a darker color. 2. New rugs for every room downstairs (lets hope Sophie Kate does not confuse them with a pee pad now) 3. New lighting in all the bathrooms, I have no clue what I want yet but I so need new lighting. 4. I really want Hurricane Shutters for all the downstairs windows, they have to be white due to HOA rules. |

You have a lot to do too....I'm always disappointed when I pick out a pant color so I now gogle "popular B.M. paint colors" to see what others are using. This has worked out well for me. My biggest "to do" projects is painting my dated 90's kitchen oak cabinets. I'm doing a lot of research before I start but I have to say I'm a little spooked to do it. If it comes out nice I'll post pictures. :) |

My home to do list is ever growing. Still have a lot of projects in process right now. We had a pretty good streak going, but then we went back to CA and brought back another huge Uhaul full of stuff and now our garage is packed to the gills. Gotta finish the flooring in the downstairs bedroom, that's probably #1. That will free up all the furniture that goes in there from the garage. Another big project is upholstering the upstairs master bedroom walls. We already got the fabric and the paint. Then do the floors in there too. |

1 Attachment(s) I've been meaning to share my backyard porch / cabana / pool area that I recently decorated w/ these drapes...and I can't tell you how much these drapes have made me LOVE this space so much more! It just pulls it in/together and makes it seem like a cozy little room/space of its own. Even better? Guess what the drapes are? Drop cloths from the hardware store, so inexpensive! Super thick, durable, heavy....I think they will do well in the AZ desert blazing sun. I'd have spent hundreds on these if I'd gone with, say, Sunbrella material or something. |
