:mad:I need a new shower head with a hand shower. The new one is delta brand and was $50 from Lowes, I don't want to spend much more. We replaced it because the old one was really old and leaking at the top. The new one leaks worse. This is mostly an issue when I need to bath Lola. We've already got that tape stuff on the threads. I just had to wash her butt, her entire body got wet, my head and back are drenched, and the bathroom floor is covered with water. Plus the settings are basically dribble or power wash, so I had to use stronger water pressure than I'm comfortable with to get the soap out. I hate this piece of garbage and my mom jumped the gun and threw the old one out. |
Return it! Lowe's and Home Depot is really good with returns. $50 really is a low end price for a shower head. Every one I bought that was less than $100 with the hand held shower part always had leaked. Do you have a Habitat for Humanity/Restore store in your area? I've been to a few of them and they have lots of house stuff at really good prices when they do demos of houses or whatever. If you don't want to pay full retail for a new one, you may want to see if there is something like that in your area. |

I am returning it, our old one was about $20 and worked fine until recently. The other issue with most of the hand held shower heads is they're huge, way too big to wash a small dog. Idk if there's a habitat for humanity/restore store in my area, I'll look into it, thanks. I thought about looking for something on amazon, but I'm not sure if I can return it if there's a problem. |

Ann, I agree with Priscilla about the half round wood around the edge. I added a molding around my workbench top and routed it half round. I hadn't like the edge so sharp for me. |
1 Attachment(s) For all you pipe/industrial fans. I came back from lunch to find this on Pinterest! https://www.pinterest.com/pin/72550243973074347/ |
^^I saw that one also! The brick in the back makes me kinda dizzy. LOL. Well this isn't home decor, but I shop at Dollar Tree a lot and I got these dish sponges. They are a pack of 6 and are yellow with a green scrub pad. They last a really long time! Longer than the more expensive blue ones. I like how the yellow part is super thick. I'm still on my first one and it's been almost a month. These are better than the ones they had before that were 6 per pack, but these new ones have a groove on each side and they call it "nail savers", where your nails go in the groove. I feel silly recommending a sponge, but I cook about 2-3 meals a day and I do a LOT of dishes, 99% of it I hand wash, since it's just me and bf, it would take forever to get a full load in the dishwasher. Plus the cycle takes forever. |
Kitchen trends for 2015 https://homes.yahoo.com/news/5-home-...222652446.html What do you guys think? I've been seeing a lot of the handle less type appliances and I do really like the motion sensor faucets for less chance of cross contamination. But you guys know me, not into the modern style. Personally I don't like the handle less cabinets and appliances. I just feel they will malfunction some how and then how are you going to open them? Our dishwasher has the buttons hidden, and only the handle shows. Came with the house though, so I didn't pick it out. I personally want a convection oven. Had one before and it was so convenient. Microwave and oven in the same unit. Oh have you guys seen the microwaves that open like an oven? They usually have them built in over the oven so it looks like double ovens but one is the MW. I love those! Our MW is over the cooktop with the hood built in. I wish we could have a regular hood and MW in the wall. |
I'm looking online at shower heads, we were trying to get one from Lowes because we have a gift card, but they don't have much available in store and are more expensive. My mom finally admitted this shower head had to go after all 3 of us drenched the bathroom. I like technology, but I don't want my home and car covered with it. To me it's just more stuff to break and it'll be very expensive or impossible to fix. I do like the idea of counters that can be raised or lowered, I'm short so most counters are too high for me to comfortably work. |
Yeah my dad always said that about options on a car. Power this, power that, more stuff to break. How often have you seen a non power window not work? Once for me. How many power windows have you seen broken? Lots. Esp in our family we keep cars till they die. So I've always grown up with that, less "power" stuff the better. |
A bunch online at Home Depot under $50 $10 - $50 - Hand Showers - Shower Heads & Hand Showers -*The Home Depot |

LOVE the commercial-y kitchen stuff...like those big Viking ovens or whatnot and extra large built-in/recessed fridges. Would LOVE a glass front fridge, but I'm not OCD enough to make it work and look all neat. |
