I also have been wearing the same perfume for 25 years, anything other than Obsession gets his sinuses going, that and sented deodorant, hand cream and numerous other smells, he's a pain on some things, but good on other things, like he never questions what I spend, so LOL I grin and bear the small stuff:D |

Oh what do I know, maybe he wont. But mine can be a stubborn a** ***e. He asks for vinegar shots now. I run to get them for him too. I get excited about it. Now if I can only get him to cut back on the beer. I doubt it though. |
Thanks for the encouragement...just made my lunch to take to work tomorrow. All good stuff! |

Well the inevitable happened this morning I was up .75 Lbs:( Not sure what I did to gain wait since I did not cheat, except for maybe to much humus but I did not eat the yogurt. Oh well I know from before that will happen. How often do you guys weigh yourself? I weigh every morning, right after I go to the bathroom, before I have a sip of water and naked using a digital scale. LOL I want to be the lightest possible. Sometimes I weigh myself before bed because I like to see the difference I am generally about 2 pounds heavier than I will be in the morning. So last night I sort of had a feeling that today I would be even or up from yesterday morning. My sister has already stopped weighing herself daily she said someone told her that is not good to do everyday. I know there are two schools of thought on that, but for me I like everyday. I really don't understand the reasoning on only once a week. |
The reason I don't weigh myself daily is because I would literally go insane. I know fat weighs a lot less than muscle. So if I drop too much weight too quickly, I'll start worrying that I've lost muscle mass vs fat. Or if it's not coming off fast enough, I'll feel like a failure which isn't great for my self esteem. In fact, my focus right now is fit. I'm back to fitting into some jeans, not the best fit, but I can zip them up comfortably. My gaol is to see those saddle bags go away, and zip up my pair of green skinnies without having a muffin top. I've had it before, and I know I can have that again. |

I love wine too. I have given it up for a while though. Champagne has less calories, so I may have half a glass here and there, but not every night like I was. At least not until I get to the weight I want to be. lol It's easier to control once you get to your target. But a glass of Champagne has 97 calories. But it sucks not being able to catch that buzz every night .LOL |
The problem with weighing every day is disappointment if the scale goes up a smidge. We all know there is a variance every day...so weighing on a weekly basis, you are more apt to see progress...but I'm guilty of weighing daily, some habits are so hard to break. |
I hate weighing every day. It is a mind F***. I did terrible yesterday. I was starving at 5pm. Usually at 4 we have a snack. But Sundays we get off work at 6 so bf said lets just wait till we get home. I had bought a nice piece of flounder from the japanese market and it had eggs in it too! Also a nice piece of salmon for sashimi. Well I had that and then some! Lunar New year is coming soon, and MIL brought home these, well I don't even know what they are called in English, but they are like Chinese tamales but in log shape. Sticky rice outside with various meat and bean fillings. You cut off a slice and fry it on the pan. Bf made two pieces for himself. Did not eat any of them. Meanwhile I ate my flounder, sashimi, the big fat chunks off the tamale, and a big hunk of baguette with a big pat of butter. I got too buzzed with drinking and not enough food in my stomach and I did not make the best decision. And to top it off, I could not sleep all night, tossing and turning, gas in my tummy, Toto kicking me in my back, bf snoring up a storm. I am really going to try to stop miscombining my foods from now on. After a few weeks of not mixing my foods I felt a big difference. |
I have been doing really good. I am expecting to see some real results any time now. Like I have mentioned before, my body takes a while to respond and then weight just falls off. I am really hoping my body does the same thing again. I agree, weighing yourself everyday is a good way to stress yourself out. haha. I would no way step on the scale right now because I would probably cry since aunt flo hasn't left yet and she tends to bring a few pounds with her visits... what a b word she is huh? LOL :D |
Trying to get motivated here. gym gym gym.... I need to go see my secret lover Jim i mean gym. lol |
dog Each person has to make up their mind to eat healthy. Most men do not eat right. I eat healthy and my husband can eat his creamy greasy stuff. Try to get more good food into the home. Then eat that. Yogurt, applesauce, carrots, apples, banannas, fruit, eat more of this and less of the other. You will feel better. Get some good shoes and walk! Just make this a habit. I hope these ideas help. |
:eek: GUYS!!! :( Today was a really good day healthwise. I drank tons of water, I ate super clean, and then two of ky friends and I went running and I jogged 4 whole miles. slowly, but still, I burned almost 900 calories according to my app. The problem now is that my chest and throat are reeeally aching, like the feeling of bronchitis or something. is this normal after a really intense workout? I've never worked out this hard. I warmed up and cooled down, I didn't drink any water during the run but did afterwards. It was also pretty cold (in the 50s) but I dressed warmly. I know it is from my breathing...I have terrible breathing technique. I breathe in through my nose and exhale from my mouth. Is this the correct way? Idk...maybe this rattling, itchy feeling will go away as I warm back up bit right now I'm worried I'm developing asthma or something crazy, lol. Input?? |
Also dinner is tilapia, squash, zucchini, and asparagus. all for under 200 calories total :) |
That's how I breathe too. I don't think that's wrong. Maybe it's just the timing of it and you are coming down with a cold. Drink some warm tea and honey I guess. I can get a scratchy throat and have even lost my voice completely from just talking and laughing too much! Dinner sounds fab. |
Carmen wow I am impressed I have never been able to run that far, even when I was younger and taught aerobics and was in good shape I was never good at running. that is a long run, you should be proud, hopefully tomorrow you will feel back to normal. Also you are probably not used to running when it is that cold and that does make breathing harder. |

I have always noticed that running outside is harder on the lungs than when I run indoors. It always seems to be harder to run outside and can remembering it hurting too before. |

I think it was due to it being very cold out and me running completely full on as opposed to my usual slow pace. I hope I'm not actually catching a cold! Strangely enough I have that post workout high and honestly want to go to the gym right now but I know that'd be pushing it too far. |
