I am going to boot camp class at my gym this morning. Wish me luck! lol |
^^^^ good luck! I just got back from the gym. Kinda disappointed, I spent 60 minutes on the treadmill but honestly was so sore from yesterday that I kept my pace at 3.5 (very brisk walk) most of that time. I did crank it up to 5 and ran for a little but wanted to take it easy. I only burned ~300 calories. So...not my best, but any workout is better than no workout! Today is payday and I want to treat myself to a good pair of running shoes. Looking at asics. What do yall wear? |

300 calories is still good. I wear my reebok. I love them. They have a lot of good running shoes out there. I love shoe shopping. Have fun. :) |

Athletes, which you are becoming will normally rest the muscles they worked hard the following day, often like you they feel the need to workout out so they will work an opposing muscle, so as an alternative to running two days in a row, try riding the bike which will work more of the top of the front of your legs and not be hard on your feet, calves and shins or the elliptical which will work your butt as well as your legs but not give you the pounding like running does. If you don't mix up your muscle use it could lead to injuries that will take longer to recuperate from than a day of rest. One of the reasons I am out of shape and over weight now was because I worked out to hard and hurt myself, so my overdoing it backfired on me. 20 20 is hindsight, but I believe if I not done kick boxing 5 days straight or doubled up on yoga classes I still might be able to do them. |
Boot camp was good. I will probably go again next week. :) I agree with DBlain. It is good to give your body a rest once in a while. When my muscles are sore, I usually will take a day off then go back at it again. Or like she is saying, alternate muscles. :) |

I have heard of a difference between cold potatoes and hot ones. However cold potato salads are usually full of mayo. Never thought of using vinegar! I put some small gold potatoes in my veggie soup last night too. Oops. |

And I never knew that about pears either. That's the one fruit I never buy. I will start now though. |
I wonder if Korean pears are the same. I always buy those whenever I can. Those pears w greek yogurt is seriously one of my favorite snacks. |
Another clean dinner to check off of my calendar. The toughest part is I do so good, make a yummy healthy dinner and eat it slowly. then tony comes home from work and eats bacon mashed potatoes and burgers, etc...and I want to eat all over again. But I try to not be in the room while he eats. The number on the scale keeps going down but I dont physically see a difference in my body yet. I want it so bad. I have always had a huge block in my mind where I'm unable to picture me, thin. Like I must be incapable of being small..because I'm so big right now! I cant remember what I looked like at my best, which was probably 11th grade when I was still on a dance team, taking jazz, and in show choir. Even then I was probably 150. I'd kill to get back to that. Anyways...doing some toning stuff with weights tonight and then calling it a night..my bed is calling to.me big time. |

Carmen Priscilla has a point eventually the cravings for the junk type food start to go away, on Sunday my husband ate bacon for breakfast, one of my favorite things to eat, and I did not even feel tempted, it's been two weeks today and I have not cheated expect for some gum with sugar (which I have now ditched) I am a little frustrated since I have not really lost anything such Sunday, I was hoping I would not reach the dreaded dieters plateau this early in the game. I am keeping up though. I have not been exercising enough either so I need to do more of that. |
I was surprised by potatoes as well for belly fat, my waist used to be one of my best body parts but LOL my gut took it over. I do think though that a lot of the 12 pounds I lost so far were off that already, it is looking better. here is one of my tests, when lying in bed on my side not as much of my gut hangs down:D:D |

It's true. Back when I went on my health binge (and succeeded) the first time, after a while, if I ate a hamburger, it was too much for my tummy and it gave me a belly ache. All the fat and grease made me feel ill. But I got to admit, I was healthy and felt great. That is my goal to get that healthy again. :) |

Wow 12 lbs so far. That is really awesome. Great job. :) |
I probably wont have time to make it to the gym today. I have to hang out at my school this morning finishing up some paperwork and then I work tonight. I am a little sore today from that bootcamp class yesterday, so I will just call it a break day. I like break days like this because I am still moving around. It's not like I am sitting on my butt doing anything. I think I will jump on the scale again tomorrow. Yes that scares me. I hope it budged a little more this time. |
How to Burn Calories Without Exercise Bathe your dog for 30 mins. LOL But the rest of it, for the majority I agree and I do! |

When I first started all of this I was 153. This morning the scale said 149. It's coming off but veeerrrryyyy slowly. ugggg. Kind of frustrating but at least its not going up I suppose. I am going to pay a bill, jump in the shower and then go to the gym. No work today. Woo hoo! |
4 lbs lost is great, better than 4 lbs gained. Not telling my weight but let's just say 149 is not far from my goal and I have a ways to go, but of course I am 7' tall:D:eek: I have always felt that I was not overweight, just to short for my weight:p Well it was inevitable I cheated last night:eek: after being so good all day I started craving one of my favorite go to snacks, hot air pop corn with olive oil. that would not have been to bad, but then I remembered there was still some red wine left, so I had that which was only about half a glass, well that got me going so I opened a new bottle and had a full glass. well that would not be to bad, but then I had a half of cup of my husbands choco chip ice creme:eek: And today I was a pound lighter:D but with I know it takes two days to show the gain. So I went to the gym and did 45 min of cardio, plan to do some more on my home treadmill later as well as move around cleaning the house and not cheat today. I am not going to beat myself up since I went over two weeks without one slip up. |
Christinee what type of work do you do, your schedule seems to change. |

I do phone work. So I am sitting on my butt while I am working. I am always off on Fridays. |
