Tell me, what is your favorite meal? Let me give you an example of how to make it more healthy! You can do this, Deb!! We'll all help you!! Hang in there, girl! :D |
Don't forget! First Weigh IN this Sunday! Don't forget to either post your weight or PM it to me this Sunday! I look forward to some successes. BUT don't feel bad if you have not lost anything! It takes some bodies a while to realize you have changed how you eat. Can't wait to celebrate the group's successes! :D |

Thanks!!!! And I will post some cool recipes!!!! |
What am I not supposed to talk about? 1. No one should be telling me or anyone for that matter what they can and can't talk about. THANKS! 2. I didn't know there was a special moderator here. 3. Calorie counting IS a life change. My friend has been doing it for over 3 years and lost over 90 lbs. Now no, she didn't go through a "program," but she had the willpower to do it on her own. Unfortunately, I didn't. As I stated in my first post, Jenny Craig teaches you how to change your life and eat right...that is why I am at my midpoint weight beginning to rely not only on her food, but what I gradually bring in myself. I have learned a lot from that program and thought that if someone else needed help, they would benefit from hearing my story. And, I heard someone joined Weight Watchers. GREAT FOR YOU!!! That is a weight loss program too. It may be different, but it still helps. And if people need help, then they should be able to get it. Just like they are getting help from this forum. Will you be giving/getting support from these people for the rest of your life to aid in your loss? Highly unlikely. 4. I was told by a few people that the threads on here can, let's say, not be nice. So I'll tell you what I told them...I don't take anyone telling me what's right or wrong for me...and I'll let them know about it. I am a VERY nice person and will help anybody (have already tried to help about 3 or 4 people on here already with numerous things, and I just joined). 5. I thought my posts were VERY nice to everyone. I would NEVER EVER start any bull, but I will not take it either. Whether I am new or not. I came on here for info, and to make friends, not to be belittled by others by my beliefs/decisions. 6. Just because I am 29 does not mean I don't have a lot of knowledge in many areas. I do believe I have my master's degree..o yeah, I do. 7. I have some good news for you...don't worry, I won't be joining your weight loss club because if this is the "support" that your "members" will be getting, I hereby resign my membership. 8. For everyone who's doing their best to lose weight...good for you, I hope you all reach your goal no matter how you do it, but I would rather the positive support given elsewhere. :) Good luck! |
Can I participate? Im currently doing tao of wellness which seems to be somewhat of the same teachings of your diet! when I first started in July 05, I was at 150 I am currently at 120lb and no longer under Chinese Medicine, So I have been falling from grace so to speak and sometimes fail to continue to eat healthy! I thought maybe with your support and encouragement and I could get back on track! I have been going through some difficult times like alot of you so I have no excuse other than forgetting why I started this way of eating. Im not sure if this way of eating would interfere with the book you are currently supporting, But it is healthy foods, basically both ways are teaching to eat well! and feeding the body nutrition. And lately chocolate chip cookies, along with some other foods that do not belong is becoming a friend I do not need! I have learned quite a bit that could and would be benefical to the weight loss club. |
Baby Fidgette....It's all good !! IF you have stories to share - come on with it - I know the whole idea is to eat healthy for life ....but we can all learn from each other - The people here ARE nice and I hope you keep posting here - it sounds like you're doing really well with the program you're on and you may help someone ELSE with your posts - I wanted to tell Muffiesmom and Jaspersmom - Day 3 and though no treadmill yet - (I'm sick) I have been eating totally different :) |
The issue here is Jenny Craig, not you Nicole. Quote:
I stated right from the start that we were not talking about any commercial diet plans here. You have now promoted Jenny Craig twice. I respectfully asked you to stop. It looks to me as though your program is giving you plenty of support and that you are very happy with it. I am glad for you, and I truly don't feel you need this thread as much as the other folks here. Good luck with your plan, and I wish you much success! :p |
Clarification I believe early on I stated that this thread is not about commercial diet plans. If anyone here who has volunteered to become a member of this thread is using a commercial diet plan, please do not publicly promote the plan within this thread. If you would like to PM members about it, feel free. This thread is about learning to eat in a healthy manner for a lifetime and supporting each other in that quest. Thanks for your cooperation! :D |
