| Pinched nerves are just evil.... I knew it was too good to be true that I could actually feel and use my left hand for a whole week... Now I see why it's because my right side was getting jealous and decided to take over for my left side

| Pinched Nerves I certainly hope a ruptured (herniated) disc isnt the cause of your pinched nerve. Just had my third cervical fusion for herniated discs. I know about the pain in your hands and arms from discs. God Bless. Julia

| I'm sorry you are dealing with that, Alisha. I cannot even imagine the pain you go thru. I think you are right to try anything and everything before surgery. I've known several people who ended up in more pain after having surgery on their back. I even had a doctor tell me it should be the last resort because of the complications it can have (this was back when I was in physical therapy for simple bulging discs..not herniated). Julia, 3 surgeries? Bless your heart! Hope this one helps and is the last one you have to have.

| The pain I do not wish on anybody but between the disc, fibro and bad knees I can deal with that part.. Kinda lol... It's the not being able to use my hand or arm that really gets old!! My Dr has told me the same and after all my knees surgeries I will do anything in the world to avoid bone cutting and screws and pins!!!

| Yes, I had my first cervical fusion when I was 40, 20 years ago. The pain was intolerable and I had no choice except have it fixed if I continued to work and care for my family. Now 20 yrs later I am dealing with it again. The 1st one worked great. They used my bone. I had my second one two years ago and it hasnt been right since. This last one was six weeks ago and I have had pain since then and just had a cervical mylegram done to see what is wrong. Yes I agree that there are usually lingering problems but the longer I waited to have it fixed the more permanent the numbness and lingering pain. This last one I lived a year with the pain.
