It looks like a good plan. 1200 calories per day is very low ... and you have to add activities so if you can do that it would work. I need to do something too! I KNOW what I should do (I teach nutrition afterall) but the DOING is the hard part lol

My grandmother was on it for a while before she passed, it would have worked except she could not pass up a pecan pie or pound cake lol speaking of that I would kill for one of her sour cream pound cakes right about now

Well I don't want to but..... . I have gained so much weight in one years time. I go to see the endocrinologists about my thyroid in March. However, until then I need to do something!

Have you had a Thyroid Panel and it shows an issue?

I'm "borderline" but with out thyroid related symptoms. They did blood test

My medical issue effects my thyroid which can sometimes cause low B12 levels which I also have so I know for me the ONLY time I can use weight no mater what diet I try is when I keep up with my B12 shots. Odds are your endo will check those levels too.
But I will tell you now if you have thyroid issues that need medical help don't get stressed if you can not lose weight or anything until they get your levels fixed.. I have been able to get to almost normal weight but have been stuck there for 8 years I mater what I try.

I am not suggesting a diet but this summer I quit eating most/all processed foods -more because of a digestive issue,and only eat "whole" foods, which I have to admit is alot of fruit and veggies but meat and eggs too, not too much bread and such because so much processing... I feel sooo much better but lost 4 lbs without even trying.The more I read I am starting to question our food supply, can we really digest all those chemicals and processed stuff and be healthy and have good nutrition?

Thanks for that information. I will ask about checking my B12. My thyroid levels increased by almost 1. I'm not at 2.91 which is right below the expected level of 0.5 to 3. I have gained too much weight in a years time. Plus I'm experience tired all the time, tingling, headaches, etc. that's why the referral to the endo. I'm hoping they figure it all out lol.

Know the feeling, I went from 120 lbs outgoing loved to go out always happy to 189 lbs scared of public places wild mood swings and really ichy dry skin and sleeping 10 to 12 hours a day in less than a year.
