Zimmerman Affidavit of Probable Cause

I am such a coward that if I were going to have to patrol a neighborhood that had had robberies, I would carry a gun. When you read about the Petit robbery in Connecticut which was a robbery that "got out of control" as one of the robbers said - a robber who turned rapist, child molester, arsonist and killer who forced a female robbery victim to go to the bank as her daughters stayed at home with a robber, take out money, molested a daughter of the family and took pictures of her, raped the mother after tying her to the bed, then shot to kill every member of the family & burned the bodies & the house. That robbery was just supposed to be a "simple" robbery but you realize after reading news stories of many robberies gone wrong that anyone out to rob a house can turn into a very deadly criminal themselves. Many robberies turn into far worse crimes when a person is found to be home. I would fear a potential robber as much as any criminal. I don't know how basic neighborhood watch volunteers can go out and look for criminals and not be scared silly - I sure would. And I would take a gun along if I patrolled looking for potential robbers.

I can't understand why they are so enraged over this one mother's baby when all of those others whose baby boys grow up to teenagers only to be gunned down by gang leaders and other violent types get no political leaders standing alongside them, attending press conferences and TV reporters following them around. Is this young man's killing worse than the others? I don't understand the double-standard. Is it because the shooter was Hispanic? Surely there are many murders daily by members of different races that don't get masses of people protesting them and very many of those babies' killers weren't out looking for robbers - they were out for blood themselves because the young man didn't buy drugs from them or decided not to join their gang or was just going to school. I am trying to understand why this young baby's death is so much worse and his killer so much worse than all of the others. I heard someone say that Mr. Zimmerman is the most hated man in America. Why is he so hated and gang members who kill mother's children not protested against just as vigorously? Are people afraid to protest against the Crips and Bloods or our leaders afraid to speak out against them?

I normally don't defend either of those two......in this case I honestly believe that they worked behind the scenes to shut those fools (black panthers) up. For them to speak up publically would have fanned another fire. The family does not want that...they have been very clear. All they wanted was for Zimmerman to be arrested and have to face a jury of his peers.

As for the autopsy, what bothers me is that they did drug screening on Trayvon and yet none on Zimmerman, the shooter? Makes zero sense to me.

You say not everything is race related then make a racist statement about having black news and not white news....that kinda hurts your everything isn't about race argument. I won't say anymore on that. As far as the news reporting the different facts we obviously know that each newspaper, network etc.. can offer different perspectives (that's what makes it the United States of America the freedom of press). I don't know all of the facts but I had to comment on that. I hope for everyone's sake people can realize that a young man died and regardless of the color of his skin his family will have to deal with this for the rest of their lives.

The problem is with the black news there is no white news no Mexican news ect and it is very raciest. I think we need a white history months and a Mexican history month and ect or now at all. These things are part of the reason people still set them selves apart instead seeing us all as just people and all Americans.

And, of course, other news stations have their own bias. Does anyone really think that Fox News is 'fair and balanced'?

Some one posted a a story from a site called black news. Personally I think all media switches things around to make things "news worthy".

I really don't want to debate this had enough of that in Poly Sci in College but there are several other races that have history months. Hispanic Heritage month Sept 15th-Oct 15th, Asian-Pacifican American Heritage month is May, National Native American and Alaska Native Heritage month is November among many many others. The problem isn't people setting themselves apart the problem is people not celebrating and being accepting of our differences as one United States. I for one have absolutely no issues with a month being dedicated to any ethnicity. As a white american I have learned plenty about what my ancestors have done in history books. Again, I don't want to debate just my thoughts and the great thing about our country is we can all have them and they don't have to be the same. I hope justice is served in this case for all involved.

Well, I, like most, probably hope that if the evidence/testimony shows this guy stalked and murdered that young man, he should rot in jail. If not and evidence/testimony shows something happened and the young man got scared or angry or who knows what and somehow became the aggressor and was really hurting the older man who panicked & shot out of self-defense, I & many, probably hope he doesn't get any or long jail-time. Hopefully, the trial will settle some things.

The news IS white news. The history IS white history. White Americans have not historically been excluded, but have been doing the exluding.

and FYI there IS Hispanic Heritage Month.

Anyone can take any piece of the bits of news we get and turn it into something it's not.

I agree that it's incredibly stupid that Zimmerman is the most hated man in America right now. When there are tons of others being murdered every day, that nobody ever gives a damn about.

Where is Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton with all of the black on black crime going on these days? It's so ridiculous. But no, everything has to be so politically correct all the time. If they want to bring race into it, then bottom line is: if this had been a white teenager walking around with a hood on and skittles and iced tea, and an older black man shot and killed him, we would most likely not be discussing the issue right now, the President never would have made a comment about it, and it wouldn't be the front page news story of every magazine.

Bottom line is that a young man's life was taken too soon; I don't think anyone is justifying his death. But I think to crucify a man, when we don't even have all of the facts yet is ludicrous. What ever happened to innocent until proven guilty?

Innocent until proven guilty...hmmmm....how does that apply to OJ Simpson and Casey Anthony??

I won't say this man is guilty of murder 2, but I will continue to say he was out of line carrying a gun and following someone around at night while calling 911 and saying the kid was suspicious. To me, he sounded more suspicious than the kid.

How have white people been doing the excluding? I personally don't feel like I have ever excluded a black person because they where black.
