Now I heard the Zimmerman lawyer say the eye witness said the smaller person in the red jacket which he identified as George Zimmerman was the one on the bottom during the struggle they witnessed prior to the gunshot. Was Trayvon's hoodie red - I never heard what colors he wore. That is the statement of his lawyer from his position, of course. I guess that is why we can't really rush to judgment but wait to hear it all.

This Wikipedia is very interesting as well. I was telling my DH that George was probably a wanna-be police officer and for some reason didn't get in. It says here in the section titled with his name that his goal was to be a police officer. Interesting.

Yeah, there is so much conflicting information out there, it makes my head spin. My bottom line is that this kid didn't need to die, regardless. He was not armed. I am dying to see the hospital report of George that night that documents any injuries he had. It's awful, no matter what Two lives ruined, one dead and one in jail, possibly for a very long time.

It is so sad and hopefully justice will really be done if that man was out for blood, as they say. I just hate to see only one side largely reported and not hear both sides come out equally in case there is more to the story. But so many young black men are shot in this country every day, I wish more rage was shown toward all their armed killers as well. I wonder how their parents feel and when CNN will have them on for interviews.

I don't know where you heard he disliked black men because he has had many black friends step forward and say he had nothing against blacks. Also weight doesn't matter if some one is bashing your head against the ground it will eventually kill u especially if its the back of your head, also if someone was doing that to me who weighed less then me I don't fight and would have no idea what to do and sometimes you do what you have to so that you survive!

Not even gonna read that because it is racist and from black news come on people not everything is race related for crying out loud! You know if there was a place called white news blacks would be going nuts. Why is this ok for blacks but not whites?

I know many people who have guns. They are not irresponsible like I believe George was...of course it is only my opinion and many would disagree. I just don't see WHY if he was in his car, he did not simply call the police and let them handle it. Getting out with a gun on his person to follow someone is just not responsible imho.

But for all we know he goes to walmart with his gun on him, goes to dinner with the gun on him etc. He may have the gun on him all the time so when he got out of the car to follow him it might have just been with him. I personally don't think carrying a gun on you all the time is really a good thing because there are so many things that could go wrong but it doesn't make a person bad.

Going shopping with a gun and following a man in your neighborhood at night with a gun are two different things.

i am just saying he might not have gotten his gun out and followed him he may have decided to follow the guy and his gun may have already been on him.

I'm on the fence with this one. I think there are a lot of things we don't know yet. I want to see the autopsy report. I think that will tell the story.

What I don't like is how this has turned into such a major race thing. You know, no matter what the out come is it is not going to be accepted.

I Just wish the media would quit reporting on It and let the legal system do their jobs. I truly believe the media want riots to break out so they can be the first to report.

And I also think that if a person publicly puts a bounty on someone they too should be arrested. Can't understand why these black panthers can go around and put a bounty on Zimmerman and not be arrested. Why hasn't jesses Jackson or Al Sharpton called for their arrest?

Here's the thing - had the media not picked up this story and had there not been any public outcry - this would all have been swept under the rug.

I do not think there would have been any investigation at all.

That, in and of itself, is wrong.
