| I don't think I will EVER have anything but an iPhone. I've turned into an Apple junkie though - their products are just so great. Never had any major issues, everything usually runs very smoothly, etc. Did not like the Droid at all personally. Everyone I know that had one actually switched from it to the iPhone - loved it at first and then after a few months hated it. Most started acting up. Overall, the iPhone CAN do a lot, but it's very user friendly and simple to use.

My brother-in-law, my husband and myself have all had Samsung Android phones for over two years and are happy with that format of phone. I do like some Apple products and have nothing against the iphone in genereal, Apple just has some built in limitations from a software standpoint that don't exist with the Android format. Apple pre-determines what you can and can't do with your phone and what software you can run. That is why it is important to consider how you want to use your phone. Techies tend to gravitate to Android phones, but that is certainly not a hard and fast rule by any means. Samsung smart phones have out sold iphones for some reason, (all Android phones are not created equal though) but there are still loads of people who really like the way the iphone works. There is something to fit everybody's personal tastes. My brother-in-law, husband and myself all love our Samsung Android phones but my kids all love their iphones. It really comes down to personal preferences and how you use your phone etc. | |

| I have a motorolla android and have zero complaints. the built in navigation on it is fantastic - better than our garmin. The voice recognition is good too. the plan is cheaper too. |

| Thank you again everyone for your input. I was wrong about the 50% at AT&T applying to IPhones, but I should be able to get a discount on any phone as a long-time customer looking to upgrade. I think I will take a look at both types of phone while I am there. My brother has both types - IPhone and android, one work and one personal, and he has good and bad things to say about both.

| I'm also in the iPhone camp. I've had my iPhone 4 since February and I just love it. I agree that the camera could be better, but honestly, that's my only complaint. I love that I also have all of my music on it, so I no longer need a separate iPod. Mine is 16G, and even with all of the stuff I have on it, it's not even half full!

| I have a Motorola Droid 2. I like it a lot. Battery life on it is pretty good except when Wi-Fi is on all the time, then it does not last a full day. But Ive had mine over a year now and the battery w/o Wi-Fi on lasts 2-3 days at least. I have 3G and it also works great, never had a problem getting online, GPS always works if I need it. I love the Swype functionality, where you can just slide your finger over the letters to text and it makes the words. Utube works really well, the speaker phone is loud enough on it (I always talk on speaker phone). I really cannot complain about my Droid at all. I have an iPad also. Never had an iPhone. My iPad is uumm... different. I am not a die hard apple person at all. Had I been able to play with the iPad before I bought it I might have gone with a different tablet. Main reason is no flash player! Soooo annoying! Also I have a VERY hard time getting my iPad to work on our wireless network at home. We have 4 laptops in the house and they all work great, but the iPad always has issues with the wireless. I end up on 3G which I end up paying more for but I want to use my iPad. That is the most annoying thing with it.
