Please don't leave YT because one sad, nasty little person decided to pick you to be the whipping boy for her(?) ills. You have been thorough enough this week, yourself, and yet you still think enough of others to ask for prayers and good thoughts for Lissette. IMHO you are not wrong, the person downing you is. We love you here!

Ditto! Steve is the nicest person and he does so much for the little doggies. He is the kind of person who puts others before himself. He has just lost his beloved Carlo and I know what kind of grief that loss creates. He deserves so much more from other YT members than rude pm messages from a young upstart!

Yes, so true. Maybe the person should read some of the posts where he has helped out the pups at YHR. I know he has been very generous.

I see nothing wrong with what you did either. I can't believe the pm you received. I guess everyone just thinks differently. But even though I do not know Lisette as well as you guys, I have a feeling she would want her friends to know so that they can keep her family in their prayers. I know she will appreciate all of the prayers and kind words during this difficult time. I know I would!

I think you did nothing wrong at all. Steve, consider the source.............evidently that person is so unhappy that she doesn't like seeing people be kind to others. If anyone was insensitive and rude it was the person who PM'd you!!!!!!!!!!

I thought your post showed a lot of kindness and care. Sounds like the "problem" had far more to do with the one who sent you the PM, and their projection onto others. My opinion is that we all have to do what we think is right...and then what others may think is of little importance. You seem like a wonderful, generous, and kind-hearted person to me, FWIW.
I am also so very sorry about Carlo. He was such fun to read about, and your devotion to him was inspirational and heart warming. My thoughts are with you.

I don't know why people go out of their way to be rude or mean to others. If they didn't agree with what you said they could have followed the rule of "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all". I felt your posting was done with love and concern, which is something we all could use a little more of in this world.

I'm against the majority on this one. IMO, I don't believe anyone should share anyone else's personal business. The choice to share or not should be up to the person themselves.

I had a family member taken suddenly ill last year and a best friend of mine chose to share that information on FB (asking to keep in thoughts/prayers, etc.) As soon as I was made aware of it, I asked the friend to delete it, as the family member involved is a very private person and would not have taken kindly to having that information shared. Let the people directly involved decide what personal information they chose to share, or not share.

I agree with this. I am very surprised that someone would do such a thing, and hide behind a PM. I am also Fb friends with Lissette. Sometimes I don't read everything on FB or YT so it's helpful to have both. If I had a friend like Steve, i would want my YT family to know of a tragedy if I was not able to get online. If it were me, I would appreciate the gesture.

The only person that would have the right to get upset would be Lisette. I don't see her getting upset about this.

I do understand what you are saying. However, it was already posted on FB. It was added here after her posting on FB. Therefore, it was already out there by the person involved. This posting was done out of care, concern, and compassion for her while she is dealing with this difficult time. Had she not already posted on FB, then I would completely understand what you are saying.

I don't think you are rude or old!!!! Alot of people do not have FB and you were just letting Lisette's YT family know what happened. I'm sure she appreciated the messages of sympathy that she received from YT. Don't let one ignorant person keep you away from YT.

Please don't leave because of that idiotic PM, Steve. I think that you showed a great deal of compassion asking for condolences and well wishes for someone else while at the same time you were going through your own very difficult time.

Just write the PM off as another tactic by the polite police to control not only how and what we say, but now evidently the topics on which we may post. [sarcasm] If any of them are reading this (and they probably aren't because they've all put me on "ignore", too) then could you please do us all a HUGE favor and give us a sanctioned list of approved topics and responses? It would make our lives sooo much easier. Pretty please with sugar on top [/sarcasm]
