Oh, lord, no. Just seems like I got un-decorated not that long ago! It was mid-Jan. before I finally got my stuff all put away and this year, I just put the Christmas Tree and it's 3 sections in one of those Christmas Tree storage bags on wheels so all I have to do is roll it out from the hobby room and down the hall, into the den or living room, snap it together, connect the light plugs on each section as I go and it's back up. Stop that Jeanie!!! I have not had my summer vacation yet! You brat. I love Xmas, but I love summer too!

Right! Back to fishing, dock diving for some of us, swimming, boating, hot dogs and fun in the sun! We've yet to have our summer block party what with one thing and another. Get yourself up to that cabin and do the devil out of summer and chill out. :D :D :D

One thing for sure. The stores will have the Christmas decorations

Some of ours start sometime in August. Last August, I walked into a Walmart to stock up on some TP, floor cleaner and stuff like that and they already had some pre-lit trees, lights and a selection of ornaments for sale.

Jeanie really lol . . . You can't push Christmas yet until at least after Halloween ! My favorite holiday. I go nuts on Halloween like others go crazy on Christmas lol

hehehehe. Caught me. I really did try to send a picture of a doll in the thread to Julianne via PM but couldn't so I told her I would just bump the thread.

But, I've already watched a one hour QVC special on the Joy of Christmas about lighting and other gorgeous decorations and have to admit, I'm thinking about thinking about the season coming! hohoho

Okay, Gail. Back to summertime! Boy, is it hot here. :D

I saw your doll, Jeanie, and she's beautiful!!! Even if she wasn't Shirley Temple, it would be a very special doll, but I so love Shirley Temple, the person. I love Christmas because of the giving spirit it brings in people, the kindness, the reaching out to others. It's isn't about the gifts, but it's a time when people are happy and loving, how they should be every day of their lives. I'm Jewish, and I still love Christmas. My husband will tell you that he was born Catholic, but he like me, doesn't like anything to divide people. His excitement during Christmas is so contagious. I know it's early, but I hope your dreams come true this Christmas and always.

Thank you, Lisa, for the holiday wishes. It is a special time of the year when a lot of people do seem to radiate a special hope and kindness. The holidays have a way of bringing people together.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE Christmas!!! I have 3 Christmas trees I put out. Plus all of my other decorations and nativity scenes. Oooh and I love burning Christmas candles and the music playing, drinking hot chocolate with a good fire going. *sigh* Is it December yet!?!

Hi Jeanie, I've just taken a look at the photos....she's beautiful! I love the candy cane ribbon in her hair and the 2 different dresses, so pretty! The little shoes are so cute too!

Thank you Jeanie for showing these pictures to me, it was so sweet and kind of you to go the trouble of searching out this thread and then letting me know where to find the pics within the thread, I appreciate it! Especially as it meant bumping a Christmas thread in July!! Hugs to you:)

Miss Betty, we in North Texas will gladly relieve you of those low temperatures just any old time you'd like. Feel free to just ship it on down here. I just saw our forecast and we're set to be in the triple digits over the next few days! Can't really complain too much as we've had a fairly coolish summer so far but still, cool temperature is sounding really good right now. Can't wait for fall and that first cool nip in the air.

Christmas creep is upon us! Heard on the news that several big box stores already have Christmas items on the floors in the Christmas section! I saw some Halloween stuff at the Dollar General store yesterday on the way to clinic!

Speaking of the 102 degree heat, Cookie just had me running and doing laps around the yard in it. I can't be too mad at her because it's one of the things I do to exercise her, but it was pretty unpleasant chasing her around 102 degree heat at 5PM when it was time to go in on a potty break lol. She's crazy fast and I can't run full speed after her because I'd be scared of not being able to stop quickly enough if she darts under me.

Haha! Well, I think we're expected to get back to 100 by Wednesday or Thursday of this coming week! And then to walk in a big store and see Christmas trees and decorations! Hard to believe in just 4 mos. it will be here! This time in 4 mos., it will be

Wow. We really did not have any summer weather. . . . I did not get through Halloween yet. Please don't rush it. . . I have so much more to do

Yes, I went to hobby lobby last week and saw first the fall decor, then the Christmas stuff! In August! Weird. Doesn't seem like last Christmas was that long ago. Oct-Dec are my favorite months of the whole year. Such festive, high spirited times. Can't wait for cold weather, too.

I put my fall wreath back on my front door. I would say its nearly officially fall since school starts up today in College Station. :D I went to Bath and Body Works and got so many candles its shameful lol. Love fall scents and burn them all winter as well.

Listening to an hour of Christmas Carols on Pandora right now. Signed up on Twitter for several of the Christmas Countdown, etc., lists. 92 days to go!

When I first read the title of this tread I thought you were all out of your minds but then I remembered that I have been saving up points at my supermarket for a muffin maker for my daughter in law's present. I guess we all are in the holiday mood 12 months a year. Enjoy
