| Are You a City Person or a Country Person? I guess I am somewhere in between. I wouldn't want to live in DC, or Baltimore, or even downtown Annapolis. Too busy for me. Love to visit cities, though -- NYC is one of my all time favorite places to visit but I could not imagine living there. Well, maybe for a little while, but I think I'd get sick of it fast. On the other hand, I also don't want to be sooo far secluded that I become, like, not a part of society, LOL. My grandma lives in Young, AZ up in the mountains and it's the smallest town EVER. You have to drive at least an hour to the grocery store. Heck, to any store. She's 5 hours from Phoenix. I could never live there, but again, had fun visiting. Right now I live on 3 acres with 90 acres of farmland behind us. No sidewalks or neighbors, except the farmer, and one house next to us (we never see the people -- the guy just mows his lawn ALL the time, LOL). But we are so close to everything... five minutes away from a bunch of little stores and food joints and fast food and all that. Ten minutes away from Annapolis, etc. Pretty close to DC/Baltimore. Ideally, I'd prefer to be in a neighborhood though. Our house is scary if you are there by yourself! I'd like a neighborhood, with sidewalks, but still far enough apart to have your privacy and space. What about you?

| I am both. Love the convenience, activity, and architecture of cities. At the same time, I love the serenity, beauty, and simplicity of the country. My ideal would be to have a townhouse in the city and a huge acreage in the country. I agree with you Brit that it can be scary to be all alone in a house far away from other people.

| Well I live in the city but its a small city I wouldnt like to live in a big city. I love the Country however I dont like not having stores and a variety of restaurants available to me. Also what I like about where I live is I have Interstate access to go any direction of the city or state. I really like suburbs though. If I could live anywhere though Id be in Florida. Someday Ill be there

| I grew up on a small city lot and loved how it was within walking distance to everything I wanted and I really miss that aspect of it...but I don't miss the people & how everyone watched everyone and were so in everyone's business. With each home I've lived in I've chosen a bigger house and a bigger lot. Now for the first time ever, I'm out of a subdivision and am on a just few acres of land...tiniest house I've ever lived in, on the most land I've ever had. I love it! After being here, I think I could live in the middle of 100 acres & be happy...although then I'd worry it wouldn't take much for me to become a recluse. I do like that I'm still close enough to amenties though. I'm less than six miles from restaurants, grocery stores, meijer, walmart, etc. I'd hate to have to make a long trek into town to get things, so I could never live too far out in the boonies.

| City girl all the way. Charlotte isn't much of a big city, but it's big enough for me right now. My ideal city is one where I don't have to drive anywhere. I'm trying to finish up my clinical licensure in NC before I make any big moves. I really want to live in Manhattan before I'm 30. I grew up in the COUNTRY. My parents still live out there. I get bored after about a day of visiting. Levi, on the other hand, loves to go out there and play.

| I grew up a city girl for 17yrs, but have since been a beach bum and turned into a hunter's wife lol. I must say I love living in a small town, what I hate is being so far from the West Edmonton Mall [MUCH better than the MOA in my own experiences] If I could live in a small town close to a big city, I'd be set. I love horse back riding, nature, photography, and tagging along on hunts. BUT I HAVE to be able to get to a Mall for the sake of shopping for Maci and I. I love stores like anthrolpogie, urban outfitters, H&M, etc ...and those are NOT country/redneck stores haha. I guess I'm a good balance of both! However my ideal life would be a beach bum. Did that for a year, wish I could do it forever!

I love LA, and can't imagine being anywhere else. The only part I dislike is the traffic. People get lost here in downtown so often and that causes so much traffic. I live close to Dodger stadium, Staples Center, LA Live, and all of downtown. Whenever there is a big event, traffic slows to a crawl. I would however, love to live in a place where the houses are not too close together, and no one has a 2 story house. I want privacy even in my own backyard. It can't be too far from LA. I know no other city will offer me good eats at 2 am. Yum.... tacos.....

| I'm a city girl. Not necessarily this city, but family & scholarships & hockey have kept me here. I came close to moving to tiny Bloomington, IN. w/my bff years ago but the above kept me here. I'd probably be back by now anyways, as I wouldn't enjoy all of the bordering fields & two lane roads. I like having options as far as stores, food, parks, & entertainment, etc. While I'd love the tranquility of living in the country I've seen too many movies & too many bugs (of which I'm terrified). Yes, I'm strange. Ideally, I'd like a house with a nice yard for the usual yard stuff & a stockade fence to block anyone from seeing it, yet having a neighbor I can go to if needed. Sidewalks & such sound good, too, but I don't want to live on Wisteria Lane.

♥Trained by my pups♥ Donating YT 500 Club Member | I live in the country on five acres but very close to town less then a mile. Plus I have a lake in front. Perfect other then it's a small town and don't have a ton of shopping (walmart is about it). Other then summer time then its very busy with tourist and lots of little shops open. I love it.

| Farm girl! I live on a small horse farm about 8 miles from town. I love the privacy. When hubby and I married our dream home was a log house in the middle of 100 acres on the western slopes of Colorado. I would never want to give up the "country life" -- we affectionately call it the funny farm , but I would LOVE to move the farm closer to a touristy town somewhere in the Blue Ridge Mountains |

| I grew up and still live in the suburbs. I like it, as everything is nearby, and we are close to the big city, however one thing that I have always hated was the lack of space and nosy neighbors. And unless you have a huge piece of property, that's just how it is.

| I have never know anything but country living. We have lived on my DH family farm since we married. The farm we live on is about 60 acres and we have Angus cattle and a few laying hens. We also inherited a 100 acre farm from DH uncle and it is about 30 miles away from where we live now. We are just about an hour from Knoxville, home of The University of TN and about 45 minutes away from Gatlinburg and The Great Smoky Mtns national park. I don't think I would like living in the city, other than having more shopping choices.

| We love our tiny community. We know quite a few of the people who live here. It's like family, and I feel safe since we all look out for each other, were 1 mile from the police station and fire station. We have our bank, Vet. dentist, grocery store, domino's, coffee shop, Mexican food, subway, ice-cream store, and a few others in a small shopping area 6 blocks from us and we aren't even a town. We are 4 miles from Lompoc, a small city. I had my share of living in the country. I don't want to be too far from good shopping & restaurants, but don't want to live in the city either. We go to San Francisco to visit our son, (who just got married) and love it, but would never live there. Too busy and noisy for me.

| City Girl, all the way, here..... I live right in the middle of it, and Love it!! I can walk to and from work.... I drop off or pick up dry cleaning....stop by the grocery store and pick up a few things...or do a little shopping.... I Love how pretty much every corner store/market, etc. is still Open, even during the worst snow storm or whatever because a lot of the Owners live above their shops.... and you can still walk places with No Traffic during those times. I could Totally live in New York... and actually used to go up there just about every other weekend for a long time. I do LOVE to get Out of the city and go visit my parents and Love getting out for vacations... but I always Love coming back. |

| I am a suburb person- haha! I lived in NYC for 4 years and after 2 or so I couldn't wait to get out. However, I could never live in the country, I need to be close to malls, stores, people, etc. I like the convenience of being close to everything- even simple things like hearing people here say the closest vet is 45 minutes away, I could never handle that- within 45 minutes of me there are probably 25 vets. Another thing I like about the suburbs is being close enough to a big city to take full advantage of the world class entertainment, food, culture, etc. I can easily slip into the city for the evening or afternoon and then come back home. Also in the city I lived in a small shoebox apartment for double the price of my current spacious apartment.
