We love our tiny community. We know quite a few of the people who live here. It's like family, and I feel safe since we all look out for each other, were 1 mile from the police station and fire station. We have our bank, Vet. dentist, grocery store, domino's, coffee shop, Mexican food, subway, ice-cream store, and a few others in a small shopping area 6 blocks from us and we aren't even a town.
We are 4 miles from Lompoc, a small city. I had my share of living in the country. I don't want to be too far from good shopping & restaurants, but don't want to live in the city either. We go to San Francisco to visit our son, (who just got married) and love it, but would never live there. Too busy and noisy for me.
