With each home I've lived in I've chosen a bigger house and a bigger lot. Now for the first time ever, I'm out of a subdivision and am on a just few acres of land...tiniest house I've ever lived in, on the most land I've ever had. I love it! After being here, I think I could live in the middle of 100 acres & be happy...although then I'd worry it wouldn't take much for me to become a recluse. I do like that I'm still close enough to amenties though. I'm less than six miles from restaurants, grocery stores, meijer, walmart, etc. I'd hate to have to make a long trek into town to get things, so I could never live too far out in the boonies. |

I have the opposite experience with city life. I've lived in LA my entire life, yet, I don't even know my neighbor's name. Everyone just goes about their business, never bothering anyone else.
I love LA, and can't imagine being anywhere else. The only part I dislike is the traffic. People get lost here in downtown so often and that causes so much traffic. I live close to Dodger stadium, Staples Center, LA Live, and all of downtown. Whenever there is a big event, traffic slows to a crawl. I would however, love to live in a place where the houses are not too close together, and no one has a 2 story house. I want privacy even in my own backyard.

It can't be too far from LA. I know no other city will offer me good eats at 2 am. Yum.... tacos.....
