My heart goes out to your friend. My mom lost her furbaby Rachel a few years back and my mom told me that the flowers and card I sent really helped. It does help to think that other people really care about when you lose a pet too.

Aw thank you. I have her flowers and card on her desk, so when she comes in she will see 9 beautiful roses! I have to take a picture of this roses, they are stunning. I have never seen roses like this.

Her Mom said when she got hom Rosco was on the ground shaking and not really moving, he was breathing and panting. Sarah rushed home.

She said she would call me. I texted her to check in about 5 she texted me back with "its not good, Ill call you when I can"

Well I just got a text from her, "hes gone" she then texted me that the Vet said he had a seizure and probably couldnt get to his water, his temp was 107 and it caused brain damage.

I am not sure what happened. I know that she leaves him outside when she is at work, I know it was about 100 today. I know she gives him shade, food and water..

I am so sad for her, I dont even know what to tell her or how I support her. I want to get her some flowers and a card... Is that too much? Ive never really had to deal with a friend loosing a pet so I am not sure what I should do?

I am so sorry for your friend,that is so tragic.
When Bunkey passed away,several of my friends sent me sympathy cards that were for pets. One of the kids that I helped bring into the world,stopped by and brought me flowers,held me until I stopped crying. Each of my friends sent me a text everyday for a week to ask how I was,several listened to me cry on the phone.
Loosing a furbaby is loosing a very special friend that holds a place in your life and heart that noone else has. Supporting your friend in her sorrow is one of the best things that you can do for her.

The flowers are beautiful. I was sent a card from the vet when my cat died suddenly and it meant the world to me. Just to see that someone understood how much she meant to me made me feel better. You did good, friend.

I don't think I would mention anything to her about heat causing this. Like someone mentioned, we don't know heat was the cause of this.

She loved her flowers and card! I made her cry, but it was a good cry. I also made her this in memory "letter" type. I just made it on Microsoft office I put on the top in really pretty cursive "In Memory of Roscoe" then I found this painting that someone had did of their dog, but it looked 100% like Roscoe. I copied and pasted that in the middle, then I copied and pasted a really pretty poem about loosing a beloved dog.

OMG she LOVED that, she said that she was going to frame it and keep it forever! That made me feel really good that the in memory letter I "hand made" her meant a lot to her!! Of course she loved the flowers but that letter really touched her! I told her that she should get a shadow box and make a little in memory of Roscoe, that might help her cope.

She told me a little more of what happened. She thinks that Roscoe was getting upset that this guy was on the roof trimming the trees, that he got really excited and over heated, and it went down hill from there. She said when they were at the vet he was still alive but he wasnt there, the vet told her that she can take him to the ER, but there is a chance he wont make it, and there is a chance that he wont be the same dog because he did had brain damage.

She was blaming herself for it, she said that she wished she was there to help him. I told her that she did everything that she could have done.

It was a hard day, but I tried to keep her laughing or talking to her in general. She told me some funny stories about Roscoe , which I think helped her. I think in the end she will be ok. By the middle of the day her poor eyes were getting less swollen. Then I left work and she told me that she had a break down.. I pray for her that it will get easier, this has really been the first death she has delt with, me on the other hand have lost a lot of loved ones.

Thank you guys for supporting me in this as well. It is so crazy, he wasnt my dog, but I am so hurt as well. Hurt for her bc I know she is very sad.

I am sorry for your friend. It is hard to lose a pet we love, and that was a hard way to lose one. I am so glad she has you
