| Do you believe in ghosts/something being haunted? I'm curious as to what other people believe about this. I never gave it much thought until I moved into this apt. & trust me, it has sparked my interest! A few strange things have happened here, most of them around the same time. First, there is a connecting door to the bathroom & master bdrm. DD has it & was in the bathroom one day with the other door open. The connecting door stays shut, because of Princess, 24-7. I hear Jazz saying "Mom, Mom" like all annoyed. I go in there & when she sees me she just about goes pale. She said the connecting door was shaking hard like someone was trying to pull it open without turning the handle. Would've asked her if she was sure but Princess was in there barking at it when it happened. She was calling me because she thought I was just screwing around with her. No windows were open, no change in heat, vents, fans, nothing. It's never happened before & hasn't happened since. Then the other thing was I moved this book shelf to another wall. It was like a day long process of sorting the books & actually moving the thing by myself. The next day I'm sitting across the room & notice something on the wall next to it. It's about 2-2.5' off the ground a few inches from the shelf. It's a PERFECT circle, approx. 2" in diam. I killed a bug the night before (severe phobia) so I think it's some kind of nest that was built. Then I was reallllly freaked out. I call my dad to see what he thinks and he has me try to wipe/pull it off. I do and.....it's peanut butter!!! WTHeck?! Princess does have a pb kong, I usually keep it full all the time & she rarely eats it anymore. The kong was still full. It's only me, DD & P10 in the apt. How did that get up on the wall, there's no way she could've done that & she never plays with the thing anyways, just rare licks. How would it be a perfect circle? My DD has woke up in the middle of the night with her light on, when I was the one that turned it off. Other things have happened in her room & honestly I don't even go in there alone at night. These things happened this past winter. Last week-ish, I woke up at night a lot, for 2 nights thinking someone was in my room. Not just dreaming it or worrying, but feeling a strange presence. A day or two later I noticed the rug I keep by the front door with our seasonal shoes. DD & I woke up we were talking in the hall. I look down & notice the rug is pulled about 4 ft. from it's place, yet all of the shoes are on the floor in the normal place like the rug is still there. My cuz's close friend also lives in this complex & guess what? She's had things happen there, too. Both her & her son have witnessed it. They had bowls fall off the fridge that were pushed all the way back, lights come on & off, cupboard doors shutting when they're not in the kitchen. We both have ceiling fans & hers kept coming on by the light switch, so she pulled the string to turn it off & still came back on. What do you think? What would you think if this happened in your home & you were not the only one to witness it, thus not totally crazy?

| I second that!!! I'd also start looking into the history of the apartment complex...like if someone died there before or somethin (I'm a curious George)... Does Princess bark when these paranormal activities occur? I do believe in ghosts...I know the feeling of having eyes on you...I used to be really scared at night and sleep with the light on. I think you're really brave, are you thinking of moving?? If it's me, I'd be scared out of my wits (and I'm a horror movie fan!!!)!!!!

| I can relate to this story as I have had an experience which when related to friends is greeted with that look which says "yer right" We had two friends with us on holiday in an old country house in North England. On a Friday at 11.30 my wife was disturbed by the sound of children running around in the corridor as well as banging on the metal radiators and water pipes along with the sound of running water. The next morning she told me about it but I had heard nothing. I said I would complain to reception but she asked me to leave it as it was a one off thing anyway. The next Friday we all went to bed and I was just falling off to sleep when I heard the noise described above. I was just getting out of bed when our friends came in the living room complaining of the noise. All four of us could now hear this noise so I decided to get down to reception and complain. The moment I opened the door the noise stopped, not a whisper nothing. I decided to leave my complaint till the morning. At reception the lady listened to what I had to say then gave me a hand written book to read asking if I would add my story to it. This book was in the hand writing of many people all saying similar things to me, Children running around, banging on water pipes and running water but all told in their own words. The dates in this book went back some twenty years and the noise problem is well documented in the local library, a fact we knew nothing of. I was then told that the room we were in was a children's bedroom when the house went on fire and three children died in the room. There are many other stories about supernatural happenings in the building but I have only experienced this one.

| I totally believe in spirits, but from what you are describing, it sounds more like a poltergeist, especially with the shaking of the door and moving of objects, etc. A poltergeist is a paranormal phenomenon which consists of events alluding to the manifestation of an imperceptible entity. Such manifestation typically includes inanimate objects moving or being thrown about, sentient noises (such as impaired knocking, pounding or banging) and, on some occasions, physical attacks on those witnessing the events.

| When I was in my 20's, I moved into a 3 level townhouse with 2 roommates. The place was fairly new, maybe 8 years old at most. I often had the feeling that someone was behind me and when I turned to looked to see, there was no one behind me and no on in the house, only my 2 cats, who were sleeping 2 floors below! I didn't think much about it. We had our first little party three months after we moved in and one roommate said, she always gets this feeling that someone is behind her, when there isn't any one there ... neither of us knew that the other had that same feeling! That's were it all began .... Shortly after, my roommate and I were sitting in the Kitchen and she says "want to see me turn the oven light on and off without touching it"? I said "yeah, right" ... we were 5 feet away, she says "Turn on" - it turns on. She says "Turn off", it turns off ... she does this about 35 times and the light turns on and off at her command, even with long pauses in between her commands. It turned on and off as soon as she spoke the words. So when she stops (both of our mouths are hanging open in disbelief) I asked how did she do that? She said she didn't know but she saw the light turn on and off a minute earlier and she thought she'd tease me with it. We went to the stove and shook it, opened the door to try to get the light to flicker but it didn't and it never turned on and off at command again. Two other kitchen instances ... Sitting at the kitchen table again, it was about 5 in the afternoon and the roll up shade on sliding glass doors, was pulled about half way to keep the sun out of our eyes. Now this blind, if you pull down on it, and release too quickly, will shoot up and flap around the roller. Not this day, no one was near it, we had been sitting at the table for a good half hour and we watched the shade slowly go from the half way point, and unroll all the way to the floor, slowly back up to the very top and than back down to the original half way point it started at. Then there was the time my roommate and x husband saw a glass, literally jump off the counter and onto the floor ... the glass had been sitting right smack dab in the center of the counter! Other small things happened like items moving or falling in the middle of the night but my roommate actually saw the entity one night when she was home alone watching TV. Curtains were all closed, and she saw something out of the corner of her eye on the landing of the stairs, when she turned her head, it darted behind the wall, so she just pretended to watch TV but watched from the corner of her eye to see what it did. It would peak out, than dart down the stairs and hide behind a chair, then would run back up the stairs to the landing. It played this game for about a 1/2 hour. She said it was a grayish, translucent orb shaped thing about 18 inches in diameter with a small dark "eye". She wasn't afraid of it, she felt it meant no harm to her. So, we thought it was a poltergeist? The 3rd roommate, who never witnessed anything, moved out after this, the other (the who was the one involved in all of the mysterious happenings) slept with her lights on for several weeks. I kinda think that this poltergeist was linked to this one roommate, since she felt, and saw the thing and was present for all the events. I can't say that I "believe" in ghosts but have an open mind and feel there are things that we can't completely explain. What ever it was, there was SOMETHING strange going on at that house!

♥Trained by my pups♥ Donating YT 500 Club Member | I totally believe in this stuff. I would be looking for somewhere else to live if it was me .. I know that is not a easy task. But your friends in your house don't sound all that nice. Good luck.

| I really can't move out mid-lease, there's no way I could afford it-they basically sue you & you have to pay like 4 months rent + whatever else they can nickel & dime you for. Plus this is one of the nicest pet friendly places I can afford, although I seem to be paying rent for someone else! I thank you all for believing me! I was hesitant to write it, thinking you'd call Pet Protective Services on me. Princess barked at the door when that happened. Sometimes at night if I'm on the floor with her, only me and her here, the hall is in direct view of me but to her back. I'll be playing whatever with her & she loves floor play, yet she will keep stopping & look down the hallway! Like every 20 seconds, this has been on at least 2-3 sep. occasions. I end up turning the the hall light on & leaving it. But last night, first, I was so spooked even replaying everything to post it. Princess doesn't always stay in my room at the beginning of bedtime but usually joins me at some point. Last night I fell asleep with her beside me. I don't know if I like took a deep breath or something to scare her but she FLEW out of my room. I heard her move, opened my eyes & she was gone! I tried to call her back saying "where's my puppy?" that's how I call her when I just wanna give her kisses or see where she's at. She always comes to me, tail shaking, ears down, all lovey. Last night she would not come. As for movies, I stick to comedies & Disney for the most part. This spring we watched Paranormal Activity 2. Biggest mistake ever! I thought it would be "stupid" thus entertaining, HA! I knew nothing! That thing scared me for months! I'm sure it's fictional, although it claims truth, but to wonder if this could evolve in my apt scared the crap out of me! I will not watch anything ever, at least living here about anything similar again! I do have nightlights on 24/7 in all room except the bdrms. makes me feel a little better. And I sleep with a phone by my bed, what good is that going to do? Guess I could call Ghostbusters!

| There are lots of other threads on YT about ghosts. If you are curious do a search. I believe and have had things happen to me in the past too.

♥Trained by my pups♥ Donating YT 500 Club Member | Yes sounds like you have to stay and live with what or who ever it is. I hope whatever it is gets bored with doing these things and moves on. I once heard if you tell them its alright to go to the otherside this stuff stops happening. Not sure if it works or not just something I heard somewhere.

You have your own experience and only you know how that feels. You know the truth of the situation not the other person so please do not pay too much attention to those who will or do not believe your or your story. I have had my experience and I understand your feelings all I ask is that you remember whatever it is will not harm you. I have never ever heard of a human being getting hurt by one of the so called "spirits", frightened yes, hurt no. I hope it all clears up for you soon.

| Oh I could have warned you not to watch Paranormal Activity, I LOVE scary movies, they never make me nervous or anything, I can watch them and go straight to bed but Paranormal Activity kept me up for 2 days straight! Ghost stuff freaks me out because you can't see them or know what they want. A friend of mine used to tell people who thought they were haunted that when you feel that weird feeling that a spirit or whatever is present to just announce out loud (I know you'll feel silly) that you are not their to harm them and basically you come in peace. It seems to help sometimes, luckily I've never encountered them so I dont know, but best of luck to you!
