When I was in my 20's, I moved into a 3 level townhouse with 2 roommates. The place was fairly new, maybe 8 years old at most. I often had the feeling that someone was behind me and when I turned to looked to see, there was no one behind me and no on in the house, only my 2 cats, who were sleeping 2 floors below! I didn't think much about it.

We had our first little party three months after we moved in and one roommate said, she always gets this feeling that someone is behind her, when there isn't any one there ... neither of us knew that the other had that same feeling! That's were it all began ....

Shortly after, my roommate and I were sitting in the Kitchen and she says "want to see me turn the oven light on and off without touching it"? I said "yeah, right" ... we were 5 feet away, she says "Turn on" - it turns on. She says "Turn off", it turns off ... she does this about 35 times and the light turns on and off at her command, even with long pauses in between her commands. It turned on and off as soon as she spoke the words. So when she stops (both of our mouths are hanging open in disbelief) I asked how did she do that? She said she didn't know but she saw the light turn on and off a minute earlier and she thought she'd tease me with it. We went to the stove and shook it, opened the door to try to get the light to flicker but it didn't and it never turned on and off at command again.

Two other kitchen instances ... Sitting at the kitchen table again, it was about 5 in the afternoon and the roll up shade on sliding glass doors, was pulled about half way to keep the sun out of our eyes. Now this blind, if you pull down on it, and release too quickly, will shoot up and flap around the roller. Not this day, no one was near it, we had been sitting at the table for a good half hour and we watched the shade slowly go from the half way point, and unroll all the way to the floor, slowly back up to the very top and than back down to the original half way point it started at.

Then there was the time my roommate and x husband saw a glass, literally jump off the counter and onto the floor ... the glass had been sitting right smack dab in the center of the counter!

Other small things happened like items moving or falling in the middle of the night but my roommate actually saw the entity one night when she was home alone watching TV. Curtains were all closed, and she saw something out of the corner of her eye on the landing of the stairs, when she turned her head, it darted behind the wall, so she just pretended to watch TV but watched from the corner of her eye to see what it did. It would peak out, than dart down the stairs and hide behind a chair, then would run back up the stairs to the landing. It played this game for about a 1/2 hour. She said it was a grayish, translucent orb shaped thing about 18 inches in diameter with a small dark "eye". She wasn't afraid of it, she felt it meant no harm to her. So, we thought it was a poltergeist?

The 3rd roommate, who never witnessed anything, moved out after this, the other (the who was the one involved in all of the mysterious happenings) slept with her lights on for several weeks. I kinda think that this poltergeist was linked to this one roommate, since she felt, and saw the thing and was present for all the events.

I can't say that I "believe" in ghosts but have an open mind and feel there are things that we can't completely explain. What ever it was, there was SOMETHING strange going on at that house!
