I don't know what DNA evidence this jury wanted - the child was left out in the elements for months. DNA cannot survive that; it decomposes w the child. Look what the elements did to duct tape to degrade it. How would touch DNA survive that? Unfortunately, killers and abusers don't commit their illegal acts in front of ppl the majority of the time. Crimes have to be reconstructed.

I heard that Baez could have asked the judge to let Casey post bail and she could get out of jail tonight but Baez decided she would be safer in jail because there are so many people that aren't happy with the verdict. Well she has to get out sometime, is he going to protect her then?

I just read her parents have gone in hiding due to death threats, and their attorney released a statement saying they think the jury reached a "fair" verdict based on the evidence.

Doesn't surprise me. The neighbors are already tired of the media circus and spectators they had to put up with for 3 years. They may have to move which is sad since this is all Casey's fault.

I did too...I was sitting on my bed shaking, waiting for the verdict. When they said those two words, I started crying so hard and immediately felt like I was going to be sick. I then sat on the edge of my bed with my head in my hands and each not guilty that came out of her mouth made me cry even harder. My husband even teared up and kept saying how unbelievable it all was. I truly do not understand how they came to this decision. I firmly believe that several of them came into all of this with their minds already made up.

You know what's really ironic....Cindy Anthony could get up 15 years for perjury. She could be in jail longer than Casey was.

the only thing that helps me not cry and get very angry is knowing that she'll probably never turn to Christ and therefore rot in hell for what she's done.

As much as I am SO angry with what Casey Anthony has done....I do not believe that Christ would not want her to repent. All of us have sinned and fallen short. The blood of Jesus covers all our sins.

Now, wether or not she repents, I have no idea. My opinion is that even if she does repent, there should have been a punishment here on earth, and it was not given. That is what makes me angry. Only God can truly judge her heart....I trust Him because He is just. He is the ultimate judge and I will leave the ultimate judgement to Him.

Just don't let the ugliness of Casey affect you.

If we are true Christians, we will pray for Casey's salvation no matter what she did. I have been praying for her, her family and all who have been so painfully involved in this tragedy. Terrible wrongs don't really go unpunished - just look back and think about it. Like you, Bitsy, I think none of us should let the sadness and ugliness affect us to bitterness. There was an earlier post with a "Shelby" in the user name that spoke to the same thing. Caylee is in her sweet Lord's hands and she is forever protected and safe - happy forever. I will leave her mother and her family in God's hands and pray that some ultimate good comes out of this somehow some way. I know I was so moved to see something good, I went online and donated money for digging fresh water wells for children in Africa and it put a big smile on my face. We can make something good come out of even bad things. God bless all on here who care for children and dogs everywhere.
