Defense rests now one rebuttal from prosecution then on to closing arguments. I think Casey is guilty but could see how a juror could have reasonable doubts about the forensics and the testimonies surrounding the chloroform. One thing defense didnt prove was accidental death. It will be interesting. I think she will be convicted but not get the death penalty

I just hope she gets life and not 15 years or some such slap on the wrist:rolleyes:

or molestation!! She won't get death, but good gosh she is was responsible!!!

O MY, are they going to pass that can around so if the jurors want to smell it, they will be able to???

I always thought Casey got the idea of using chloroform on her daughter from him. Once she found out about that, wasn't too long after before internet searches made and a few months later, her daughter was dead. She probably didn't really know chloroform was so easily accessible until she read that mention of it he posted online and eventually checked it out. I have heard them say on TV that the components for making the stuff oneself are readily available!!! Wonder where her child really was all of those times she was telling friends and family that the child was with the "nanny"? If there was no nanny and Casey was without the girl, has anyone said where the little girl was physically? It seemed like she had to do something with that child when she wasn't with her, the mother, and we now know, she sure wasn't with a nanny. I've never heard anyone say where she really was when Zanny supposedly had her. Anyone know?

I don't think they've ever really said where Caylee was, but it does sound like she was with Casey when Cindy was at work. I had also read online the same thought that you have about the exboyfriend and how she possibly got the chloroform idea from him.

But Casey's friends would say they would ask her where Caylee was and she would say "with Zanny" or "with the nanny" so at least some of the time the little girl wasn't with Casey either. I wonder where that little girl was when her grandparents were working and Casey was out and about without Caylee. It just has me puzzled what in the world she did with her.

The boy that flipped off attorney Aston is getting sooooo spanked!!!!!! :eek: Fine and 6 days in jail and he is currently being handcuffed.

How stupid can one person be?!!! This trial is SO huge and important!!! WTH was he thinking?!

I am so glad this is not my son, calling me to tell me he is in jail for something soooo stupid. Can you imagine if he had ruined the whole case. Are they suppose to think at that age?

I am right now listening to the TV on HLN as I cruise YT and Judge Perry is giving some idiot child a dressing down. Apparently, this kid was a spectator in the courtroom and for some reason, gave the prosecutor the finger. It did not go unnoticed by the Judge, and on top of being given a tongue-lashing, he was cited with contempt of court, fined and given several days in the pokey, too. I would think this is something he will remember for the rest of his life-- and all on world wide television, too! :D :D

Yes, and I can't believe he's appealing it, he was darn lucky that's all he got. There were signs all over, he said he read them, and he even admitted to hearing the guard read them. Apparently, this could have caused a mistrial.

It could most definitely cause a mistrial because the jury was there when he did this.

Yeah, his 15 minutes of fame cost him 6 days of jail and $600. What a sweet deal! Oh yeah, and he's 28...which makes it even more pathetic

I have to say, though, I laughed when the judge very calming used this phrase, "middle finger of affection". I wonder if he would mind if I borrowed that one from time-to-time. ;)

How would that cause a mis-trial? I barely saw it and I'm sure the jury wasn't looking at him either.

I just remembered, what did you all think about Baez’s question to George Anthony about the duct tape being made in Ohio and George was from Ohio? I was floored by that one. Does that mean Casey didn't do it? :rolleyes:

That was, as are many of his theories, just ridiculous. The last shot that Ashton took was a classic...asking George if he ever tossed one of the family pets in a swamp. I just cannot believe that Baez thought the way they buried family pets had anything to do with this case.

That term is commonly used here in the South. I used it because he is much younger than myself, lol. I hope it dawns on him that in this day and age, this little gaffe could come back and bite him in the butt. Potential employers may not view this as a "plus" on his part.

LOL. BTW the kid who stuck out the middle finger is appealing...maybe he should have Baez represent him in court.

I think no matter what she's going to be in jail for a long long time. She did cover up a death be it accident or murder. She deserves to do time for it. Why would an accident in the pool have caused a mom to duct tape a mouth and drag her into a wooded area. you would be grieving and at a loss call 911 and get help to try to save her, not hide her away in shame. she did something to that girl and they will get her for it. if not on earth then she'll get it rotting in hell. personally i wouldn't mind the dealth penalty to send her there faster.:mad::thumbdown

Turned on the trial early this morning to hear Judge Perry say there would be an indefinite recess and it better not be an imaginary problem.
Seems Baez has a problem with some rebuttal evidence from the prosecution.
