| Ya thats true LOL it is a little twisted!! I would google her fav type of movie or book, and then find the best rated one! OR you can get her a gift card so she can buy something she knows she wants!

| I am taking my mom to Illinois (from Florida) to see all of my brothers & sisters & her grand and great-grand kids! This is a huge deal for us as we have not been back to Illinois in many years. Mom has some health issues but we think we have it covered & I found some good connections. We are staying a week and having a huge family get-together planned for Sunday afternoon. I just wish I was taking all 3 of my boys so they would be with us too! But this one is for my mom mostly. She really needs this. I will probably have as much fun as she does though! We have one of those weird families where everyone gets along great, we would all do anything for each other but we are terrible about staying in touch! It's not that we don't want to see each other but we all seem to get busy & don't get a plan going to meet all at once. They have all come to Florida individually but this will be first time all my brothers & sisters & I have been together at one time in many, many years. I can't wait! I took mom yesterday to buy a new cell phone, which is her actual present from me. I put her on my plan and got her a great phone. I had gotten her a pay as you go phone but when I saw how cheap it was, I was embarrassed to have given it to her. Now she has a good one for her -- The Pantech Ease. If anyone is looking for the best phone you can get without having to pay a data plan -- I think this is it! They had an android like phone too that required no data plan but it was so ultra-sensitive, I could not text on it. He said it was heat-sensitive so maybe my hands were just hot, but it kept picking up letters I did not even touch! The EASE is just as advertised -- very easy to use. Even has larger text on the screen and you can put it in easy mode or advanced for full features. I love it -- and might get it for myself next time! I am wasting the data plan myself. I rarely get online with my phone. Although it was sort of fun when I was waiting for the auto club the other day! All in all -- I think mom is pleased so far!

Here's the synopsis: "The Age of Miracles: Embracing the New Midlife. Midlife is not a crisis; it’s a time of rebirth. It's not a time to accept your death; it's a time to accept your life—and to finally, truly live it, as you and you alone know deep in your heart it was meant to be lived. In The Age of Miracles, Marianne Williamson spiritually reframes this transition so that it leads to a wonderful sense of joy and awakening. " The Power of Purpose is another on my list. I haven't read them yet, but they look interesting and the Age of Miracles was referred to me by someone who read it and really enjoyed it.

| FlDebra, I love all of Marianne Williamson's stuff and have most of it as audiobooks on CDs. The Age of Miracles if fantastic, hope you got it. Another similar motivational author I love is Caroline Myss. So for my mother, I sent her a a goodie bag of multi-presies; two cute tops, earrings, couple of kitchen gadgets and her favorite Maui Mac nut cookies. I get to spend Mother's day with my daughter, granddaughter and pups, just playing & enjoying a special mid-day meal. I made a photo book for granddaughter to give her mommy for Mother's day, and she will flip over it. Happy Mother's Day to you all!
