I know from watching the behind the scene stuff that all the ones that will be on the jury go to ponderosa, but what does happen to those voted off before that? Where do they go? I'd imagine they are kept on location, but where?

I think they stay in seclusion until the episode in which they are voted off is aired. That is why they have to sign the contract about keeping quiet.

By the way, I read a teaser this week about a redeption island competitor going off on Suvivor when he lost the competition. That sounds like Russell to me. He is a little bitter man right now.

I read a spoiler that claims that Russell has an Immunity Idol that saves him on RI. Sounds crazy, but I would believe anything.

If that's true, the producers are manipulating results a little too much. I know they love Russell, he's great for ratings, but that seems going a little overboard. Something like that could backfire for the show. I figured they'd just give him a challenge that they knew he could win. They know the strengths and weaknesses of all the contestants.

I totally agree! I guess we will know Wednesday. My prediction is that Russell will be out .. not what I want to happen, but oh well.

Since RI is not a vote, but strictly a challenge win, I don't see how an II would save someone there. But, I can see someone that didn't use it at tribal and took it with them to RI, lose the challenge, handing it off to the winner at RI. Then that person would eventually bring it back into the game with them.

Oh, it was supposedly a different idol that could be used for any challenge. It has a note...I dont think it is true. I was just saying that I saw it. This was a spoiler posted on Survivor Sucks. Those things are not always true.

Ahhhh, I haven't been on Survivor Sucks this season. Everything has been twisted up so new this time around, that is definitely a possibility. That would really put a new spin on it. hmmmm.

All I can say is..:eek: Russell is out!! I'm shocked I thought he would go all the way on Redemption Island and get back in the game at the merge.

I fear Rob is in trouble now. His tribe broke ranks. Who do you think voted to oust Phillip? Do you think Rob can get control back? And what is going to happen if they don't start winning some challenges? If they go into the merge in the minority Rob will be the first to be voted out! I would hate that!

Absolutely! While I felt badly that Russell never really had a chance, I am happy to see that there was no "interference".

Those two guys went into this with targets on their backs...for different reasons, but targets nonetheless. I am not so sure this was a good pick for the producers, bringing them back like this. But hey...the season could end up a great one. Time will tell.

Robs alliance is strong...they did what he wanted...no one broke ranks...remember...he said split the votes...three votes for Kristina and 2 for Phil and than that left Kristina's vote and Phils vote...4 voted for Kristina and 3 for Phil the 3rd person that voted for Phil was Kristina....and the 4th vote for Kristina was Phil....leaving Rob still in control of his alliance.

I do worry tho, about the challenages and them not winning...I feel if they don't start winning...they are going to go into the merge very weak...only thing that will save Robs butt at that first tribal will be the imunity idol that he has...and a blindside.

I always felt that Russell should have won on the first time he was on Survivor - after that - No! I never liked the way he played the game - but he truly did play the game. I did feel sorry for him crying last night though.

I didn't see it this way, I thought Rob had told them to vote for both Phillip and the girl, just in case she had the idol. :p Phillip almost didn't vote for the girl, (sorry, I don't know her name.) If Phillip had gone against what Rob said, Phillip would have had the most votes. The girl kind of blew it by saying she was voting for Phillip at the beginning of counsel, Phillip then decided to vote for her. I don't understand why these people feel like they have to "tell all" at counsel!

I was shocked to see tears from Russell, I felt a little bad for him, but he didn't learn what Rob seems to learn, you have to change your game up. You can't rely on what worked last time to get you to the top. I wonder if we've really seen the last of him? I still want to see him team up with Richard Hatch.

I should have read all the posts before I posted, anyway, that's the way I see it too. I agree, they need to start winning some challenges, or it will be over for all of them. I think some of the people they've sent to Redemption island could have helped them in challenges.

I must have missed that. So why did he look so sour during the vote?

And---OMG wasn't he smart the way he manipultated everyone so he could look for the idol and then actually finding it? I really hope he wins. He is playing an excellent game.

I agree. He deserved to win the first time he was on because he really did play the game well. He wasn't very popular but he played well!
I thought that was pretty smart too. Everything from planning the picnic down by the beach, to excusing himself in order to relieve himself, was so tactfully planned. He doesn't give into the urge to show the idol to anybody, which I've always thought was a bad move, and then acting like the girl may have the idol, was brilliant. I didn't care for Rob much the first year, the first few episodes he was so lazy, and I thought he wasn't that smart, but he redeemed himself in later episodes and won the girl, who won the show!

He was a great player and he knows it. Nothing wrong with that in my book. :) I really liked the interview...gives a bit of insight into the behind the scenes stuff. I imagine that it would be fascinating to see all of what goes on. We only get to see what the producers choose. He is right...maybe he DID try to change his game. When they first announced the new season, I read the bios of all of the people and most of them went in hating Russell. So....the fact that his team did what they did comes as no surprise....but it is not really survivor. My prediction is that they will go down because of it....Of course, I could be dead wrong, but they deserve it. They are as low as they say he is. :) That really IS Survivor....being a b**** imo. Outlast and outwit. Oh, maybe those who ride coattails win the money, but they don't win the game imo. I don't watch to see who wins so much as I enjoy the strategizing.

With Russell, I don't see confidence, in fact, I see the opposite, a huge ego, which is just a cover for lack of confidence. I guess I never saw Russell do that much strategizing, it was like he decided who to vote off, by who ticked him off that day. His temper always got the best of him. He could not stand it when someone stood up to him, and they became his target. Sometimes, it worked, sometimes it didn't. He picked very weak players to be in his alliance, I guess thinking that if they ended up in the final three, no one would respect someone who just rode his coattails, but I just don't see him as a great player. I do think he was incredibly talented at finding idols, that's what amazed me about him, it's almost like he "knew" where they were all hidden, even before he got the clues.

Richard Hatch is on The Apprentice this year, and I wouldn't be surprised to see Russell on that show in the future, and I think he's make a great contestant.

I read Jeff signed up for 2 more seasons...YEAH:) I really like him, and talk about a s**t stirrer, he's really stirring the kettle during tribal counsel:D

Anyone catch the previews for next week?????

Rob better keep that idol to himself :D

I know, Jeff use to be kind of bland, but he is so good at making them spill the beans. Really leads to an interesting tribal. I saw something about Manson's girls, I mean, Russell's girls going berserk.

I cannot believe you would use Manson as a comparison. Wow, Nancy. I am actually glad those gals are going to stir the pot...those fools they are playing with are ridiculous. Once the merge comes they are all gone...poof. They had no strategy at all...they think it was stategy, but once the merge comes they will be out of their league. I guess the fact that Russell won the fan favorite two seasons in a row has not impressed you enough to make you see that he did play well. :) Oh well.

Winning the fan favorite does not impress me at all, people often love the villains, and they get the most press. Rupert, I believe was the only fan favorite, I agreed with, and I do admire the way Rupert played the game. It's not like I hate the Russell, I just don't think he's that good at the game as others do, and I do not admire the way he plays it, it's okay with me if others love him.

I agree that Russell was a great player, and I believe his confidence and bravado are genuine. His passion for playing the game, I believe is sincere and evidenced by the tears. I have respect for some previous contestants who went far by winning individual immunity challenges and garnering the respect of the rest of the tribe, but I really appreciate the strategists, especially the ruthless ones. :D That is the game. When I first started watching Survivor (missed season 1 and that wild bunch), I thought it was a physical test and social test, a popularity contest. The *outwit* part is what makes the game really interesting.

^^The first season I watched was Australia, and if I recall correctly, everyone was so nicey nice and beautiful and they
politely strategized. That is why I thought the game was more about not angering your fellow survivors, not being annoying. :p
